Because he treats his own beings and the vast multitude of beings equally, and has attained great asceticism, his hand lines are radiant. Because he abides in the deepest and most stable way, his hand lines are deep. Because he demonstrates the Dharma that can endure vastness, his hand lines are long. Because he demonstrates the basis of training that is not extremely grand, his face is not too long. Because he shows that all the world is like an image, an image of form appears on his face. Because he subdues by first being gentle, his tongue is soft. Because he possesses a collection of subtle qualities, his tongue is thin. Because he subdues childish and attached beings with profound and difficult-to-fathom Dharma, his tongue is red. Because he is not arrogant towards the roar of elephants and the sound of dragons, he possesses the sound of elephants and dragons. Because it is pleasant, soft, and gentle, he has disciples who are skilled in speech, so his voice is pleasant, soft, and gentle. Because he has restrained sexual activity in all existences, his teeth are round. Because he is skilled in subduing sharp individuals, his teeth are sharp. Like gods, asuras, and young human women, his eyes have distinct white and black, and are like blooming lotus petals, so he is praised by the supreme ones, therefore his eyes are distinct black and white, like blooming lotus petals. Because he constantly demonstrates vastness, his eyebrows are long. Because he is skilled in subduing with gentleness, his eyebrows are soft. Because he fully knows all faults, the hairs of his eyebrows are even. Because the roots of virtue are close to being moistened, he subdues beings whose minds have become moistened, therefore his eyebrows are lustrous. Because he perfectly fulfilled the supreme aspirations, his limbs are exceedingly developed. Because he reversed the joy of bees in objects, his hair is as black as bees. Because he abandoned the latent tendencies to be abandoned by seeing and meditating, his hair is thick. Because he directly realized the essence of the teachings with gentle intelligence, his hair is smooth. Because he always possesses an undisturbed mind, his hair is not tangled. Because he always possesses speech that is not coarse, his hair does not fall out. Because the fragrant flowers of the limbs of enlightenment harmoniously unite beings, his hair is fragrant.
