Whatever is said, such as "thus," etc. To properly incline towards the happy realms, whatever is said, such as "similarly, praising the gods of the Four Great Kings," etc. This explains the separation that must occur between the former listener and the latter speaker. Now, we shall speak of the seven ways in which the former speaker and the latter listener must be separated. Why is that? Because the mutual desires and intentions of the listener and the speaker, whether separated or not, become the work of Mara due to assembly and separation. Therefore, even by distinguishing the speaker and the listener as former and latter, all obstacles are destroyed. Thus, it is for the purpose of knowing that both the listener and the speaker reside in both former and latter states. Among these, the seven aspects of the speaker, the listener, and their manifest connection are as follows: being alone; delighting in retinue; desiring to follow; not giving opportunity; desiring a little wealth; being unwilling to give; becoming an obstacle to life; going to the side of immutability and not going; similarly, going to the side of good harvests and famine, etc., and not going; going to the side disturbed by thieves, etc., and not going; abandoning the listener by looking to the household—this is Subhuti—furthermore, from the speaker and "pure," up to "causing him to come by looking to the household that gives food," whatever is said. The connection that the evil Mara separates is: Furthermore, the evil Mara says, "This is how it appears in our Sutra Pitaka, but this Prajnaparamita is not." etc. Also, through the connection of separation, that person who practices the Prajnaparamita will realize the correct limit, etc., whatever is said about the connection that separates from the assembly. The false approximation is that the image of the Prajnaparamita is fully in accordance with Mara, and whatever is said about completely abandoning its work to what Mara has entrusted.

Yes. Generating joy for things that are not as they are, and also generating desire upon seeing a demon disguised as a Buddha, and generating desire upon seeing a Bodhisattva conjured by a demon, these will completely lose the realization of all-knowingness. Why? Because the Prajñāpāramitā does not engage with all dharmas as truly existent. Why? Because the nature of all dharmas is emptiness. This is what is said. Using the example of the great jewel of Jambudvipa, even though there may be many such obstacles, the obstacles clear away sins, therefore, the complete perfection of all white qualities is the very cause of the Buddha's power. Why? Using the example of a mother with many children, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, etc., of the ten directions' world realms have compassion, therefore, those who are diligent in it will perform protection and so on. Why? Because it generates the Buddhas and illuminates the world. This is what is said. The obstacles to conjunction have been explained. Explanation of the Characteristics of Conjunction Because it is necessary to explain its characteristics, by what is it symbolized as a characteristic? The three aspects of knowable things are unique to the knower, and the nature that is symbolized. Thus it is said, therefore, the characteristics become four types. Among them, the characteristic of wisdom, for the time being, taking omniscience as a prerequisite, needs to be understood as sixteen types. How to understand? The appearance of the Tathagata, the indestructible nature of the world, the behavior of sentient beings' minds, and its collection and review, the inexhaustible aspect, attachment and so on, and vastness, becoming great and immeasurable, and the consciousness that cannot be shown, non-existence like the mind and knowledge, knowable things such as shaking, and those other than that, are understood in the form of suchness. The Sage realizes suchness, and this, called showing it to others, is the summary of the characteristic of wisdom at the time of knowing all things.

Regarding the appearance of the Tathagata, it refers to the arising of all dharmas, such as powers and so on, up to the attainment of Buddhahood with all its characteristics. Therefore, the Prajñāpāramitā is the very place where the Tathagatas arise, as it is said. The so-called indestructible world refers to the fact that emptiness and so on are indestructible in meaning, because they are not destroyed by the skandhas and so on, nor are they utterly destroyed, etc. Because the nature of all dharmas is necessarily revealed, it is said that the world is emptiness. Knowing the conduct of sentient beings' minds refers to knowing the conduct of all sentient beings, which depends on the Prajñāpāramitā. In this regard, from sentient beings and the cause of their designation, the skandhas and so on, up to all-knowingness, the world is emptiness because of the absence of any object of focus. Why is that? In this regard, for the moment, even the Prajñāpāramitā itself is without an object of focus. How could there be anything up to all-knowingness? It is said according to such reasoning. Knowing the gathering of sentient beings and knowing their distraction refers to the fact that for one who does not focus on the nature of dharmas, by this, one truly knows the gathering of the minds of all sentient beings and their elaboration, as it is said. The aspect of the inexhaustibility of the mind, again, is that one truly knows the inexhaustible aspect of their detachment from desire, cessation, and abandonment, as it is said. Knowing the mind with desire and so on, and knowing the mind without desire and so on, refers to the fact that whatever mind is associated with desire, that is not the true nature of the mind. Why is that? Subhuti! The mind that has truly transformed is without an object of focus, and the dharmas that arise from the mind are also without an object of focus. Therefore, one truly knows the mind with desire and so on, as it is said. Knowing the vast mind refers to the fact that because the nature of the mind is without an object of focus, it does not make it vast. Therefore, one truly knows the vastness of the mind, as it is said. Great mind
