If one gives to the mud, one should take this, and whoever writes the Prajnaparamita and makes it into a scripture and gives it to others, from this point on, it is said because the merit of the giver greatly increases. The second is similarly going to others, if one explains and teaches, the merit will greatly increase, one should think of that as the teacher, etc., that is what is said. The third is that placing one sentient being after another in the fruit of stream-entry, the merit of placing those sentient beings of Jambudvipa in the path of the ten virtuous actions, the merit increases even more, it is said for the sake of liberation and complete liberation. The fourth is what is said about placing one sentient being after another in the fruit of once-returner. The fifth is similarly what is said about placing one sentient being after another in the fruit of non-returner. The sixth is similarly what is said about placing one sentient being after another in the state of Arhat. The seventh is similarly what is said about placing one sentient being after another in the state of Pratyekabuddha. The eighth is that placing the sentient beings of Jambudvipa in the fruit of stream-entry, compared to placing one sentient being after another in the unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, that merit will greatly increase. Why is that? Because that is entering into the meaning of the Buddha's lineage not being cut off. Among them, the Buddha's lineage is the Buddha's family. The nine parts of praise are similarly what is said compared to placing all the sentient beings of Jambudvipa in the fruit of once-returner. This is temporarily the ninth part of praise. Respect should also be understood as nine parts. Among them, the first part of respect is this, similarly what is said compared to placing all the sentient beings of Jambudvipa in the fruit of non-returner. The second is similarly what is said compared to placing in the state of Arhat. The third is similarly what is said compared to placing in the state of Pratyekabuddha. The fourth is also the merit of placing all the sentient beings of Jambudvipa in the path of the ten virtuous actions.

Thus, it is said that writing on scrolls with a pure mind and giving them to others, as well as properly attending to them, both increase merit, as the Blessed One has said. What is proper attention? It is to hold, explain, and so forth, this Perfection of Wisdom with a mind that does not engage in duality or non-duality. Fifth, it is said that the merit increases by showing the meaning of non-duality, as the Blessed One has said. Sixth, it is said that making it complete by showing it in accordance with the meaning and in accordance with the words, the merit increases greatly, as the Blessed One has said. Seventh, it is said that serving all the Buddhas of the ten directions with all the means of happiness until the end of life is less meritorious than explaining and showing this very meaning and words without error, the merit increases greatly, as the Blessed One has said. Why is that? Because those Buddhas are necessarily born from this. Eighth, it is said that a bodhisattva who practices giving and so forth for countless immeasurable eons, by reversing the contrived way, by showing the Perfection of Wisdom in a non-objective way, without turning it upside down, will generate extremely great merit, and so forth, as the Blessed One has said. The ninth part of reverence is that, starting from the beings of Jambudvipa, as many beings as there are in the worlds of the Ganges River sands in each of the ten directions, placing them in the fruit of stream-entry is less meritorious than causing one being to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and establishing them on the irreversible ground, the Blessed One has said that this merit increases greatly. The nine parts of reverence have been explained. Now, the nine parts of praise will be spoken. The first part of praise is this: Likewise, placing that many beings in the fruit of once-return is less than, and so on, as the Blessed One has said. The second is, likewise, placing that many beings in the fruit of non-return is less than, and so on.
