Even when settled in that state, one does not become attached to samsara. The mind dwells there, but is not connected to craving. The mind bound by mindfulness does not wander outward. Touching reality with wisdom, it leads the ground to settle. Relying on the mind that has arisen, some desire to pass into nirvana. Relying on the goodness of the world, some desire to wander in samsara. Thus it is said. The union of wisdom and compassion, and their non-difference from each other, transcending discordant aspects, the union being extremely refined, and acting according to the power of the realized one, entering through the door that closely shows the five questions of what action, how, from where, to where, and what will definitely arise, namely: Bhagavan, what is the Great Vehicle of the Great Bodhisattva? By what measure does one truly enter the Great Vehicle? From where does it arise? Where does it abide? What will that vehicle produce? Thus it is. Starting with the first question, the collection of skillful means is the Great Vehicle, as the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, possessing all-knowing wisdom, abides in the perfections with a mind that does not perceive self, and causes others to truly receive them. It is said that the collection of wisdom should also be known as the nature of the twenty aspects of the wisdom of emptiness. Among them, the twenty aspects of emptiness are as follows: The inner dharmas, such as the eye, are the inner emptiness because they are of a nature that is without permanence and without destruction, as it is said. Among them, "Kuta" means collection, and because the nature of existence is not observed there, it is "Akutastha," meaning without abiding in collection. What will such a one destroy? Therefore, it is without destruction, that is, the nature of dharma without birth and without cessation, that is its nature. The outer dharmas, such as form, are the outer emptiness because they are of such a nature. The inner and outer dharma-spheres are the inner and outer emptiness because they are of such a nature. Among them, the inner dharma-sphere is the six sense powers.

Whatever is encompassed by its own nature. What is external is encompassed by the nature of the external realm. Furthermore, it is encompassed by the support of the inner senses, which is internal because it is held by the mind. Because it is not encompassed by the senses, it is also external. For the source of Dharma, all three of these distinctions may exist, so the internal and so on here should be understood as they are. All dharmas are emptiness by emptiness, so emptiness is emptiness. Knowing all dharmas to be emptiness, here all dharmas are emptiness, and it itself is also emptiness, because the conceptualization of clinging to it must be abandoned. The ten directions are great emptiness because of the emptiness of directions, because they are very large in shape. Ultimate Nirvana is emptiness by the nature of the meaning of Nirvana, so ultimate emptiness, because it is merely separation. Conditioned phenomena and the three realms, namely the desire realm and so on, are conditioned emptiness by emptiness, because it is the nature of incompleteness, therefore it can act as an antidote. Unconditioned phenomena, unborn, unceasing, and the meaning of no change other than abiding, because it itself is emptiness, so unconditioned phenomena are emptiness, because unborn and so on are the reason for establishment, and conversely there is no birth and so on. Limit is emptiness by the emptiness of limit, therefore it transcends limit, so transcendence of limit is emptiness. Limit is a part, for it, by what reason are they thoroughly distinguished, and established as the object of reason, that does not exist in the slightest in the midst of the extremes of permanence and annihilation. The beginning, middle, and end, etc., are emptiness by it, so beginningless and endless is emptiness, the beginning and so on arise following the nature of Dharma, therefore it is eternal. The nature of abandoning, discarding, and relinquishing, the opposite of abandoning is non-abandoning, that is emptiness by it, so non-abandoning is emptiness, because the act of abandoning is not self-nature, so non-abandoning is established.
