What are the undefiled dharmas? Having attained complete purity in every way, What is that nature and characteristic? It is said. Being in accordance with the realm of dharma, becoming the nature of complete purity in all undefiled dharmas, that is, what is the essence, by the meaning of non-artificiality, it should be known that it is the essence-body of the Bhagavan. The so-called essence is non-artificial, which is a common term in the world. The path beyond the world is what achieves it, not the doer. What are those undefiled dharmas that transform into the dharmakaya, the essence of complete purity in every way? Bodhipaksa-dharmas and immeasurables, liberations and gradual, the nature of the nine successive absorptions, the nature of the ten all-pervading spheres, the birth of the overcoming abodes, the eight kinds of good distinctions, the absence of afflictions and the wisdom of aspiration, and the individually realized wisdom, the four kinds of complete purity, the ten powers and the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the three protections, the three mindfulnesses, the nature of non-forgetfulness, the complete destruction of habits, great compassion for beings, the unique unshared dharmas, what is the explanation of the eighteen unshared dharmas, and the omniscience, which is called the dharmakaya. It is said that because obstacles are removed, it is called the nature-body. Otherwise, because the body of all dharmas is the dharmakaya, the essence will be blocked, and there will be the fault of becoming a conditioned dharma because the meaning of behavior is incomplete. Calling it a body there is to be followed by the previous state and is a designation. The division of enlightenment there, the explanation of mindfulness and so on, and the chapters included, should be understood as stated in the collection of the path. Immeasurable love and so on should be as stated in the immeasurable absorption. The eight liberations are: one with form contemplates forms, this is the first. Internally having the perception of form, externally contemplating forms, this is the second. The ugly thought

This is the third, where liberation is made manifest in the body, perfected, and dwells. The four liberations of boundless space, boundless consciousness, nothingness, and neither perception nor non-perception, and one called the cessation of perception and feeling, thus there are eight. Among these, exhaustion, complete cessation, and complete enjoyment are not finite, so they are infinite. Space without limit is boundless space, and boundless space itself is what has become boundless space. This is because of the name of space, and in terms of the meaning of the support, this meditation has the place where it has become boundless space, so it is the place of boundless space, just like the place of the gods of the gods, the place is the abode. Completely cut off and completely enjoyed, therefore there is no limit here, so it is infinite. Consciousness without limit is boundless consciousness, and boundless consciousness itself is what has become boundless consciousness. This is the name of the consciousness that enters space, and like before, this meditation has the place where it has become boundless consciousness, so it is the place of boundless consciousness. There is no remainder of limbs or a little residue here, so it is nothingness, and its thing is what has become nothingness. This is the name of being separated from the consciousness of the place of boundless space, and like before, this meditation has the place of nothingness, so it is the place of nothingness. Because there is no coarse perception, and because there is subtle perception, the meditation that is the same as neither having perception nor not having perception is: neither perception nor non-perception. That is neither having perception, and that is also not not having perception. It is a place that has become a category of mind-place and dharma-place, but it is not another place, so it is the place of neither perception nor non-perception. In all of these, only the true transcendence is obtained from the object, not the transcendence of the limbs. For example, the first dhyana and so on, exhausted in one object such as earth, without abandoning the object.
