And, becoming like that is regarded as the Tathagata. Why is that? Because the suchness of all dharmas is the basis for obtaining the two kinds of purity of all-knowingness. Similarly, studying the Prajnaparamita of suchness is the perfection of the faculties, mastering karma, knowing the aspiration, the wisdom of the three times being completely pure, benefiting sentient beings, the Buddha's pure land being completely pure, obtaining all-knowingness, turning the wheel of Dharma, and obtaining the benefit of liberating sentient beings from suffering. \tIn this sutra it is said: Subhuti, for example, someone wants a sapling and sows seeds, but he does not know the roots of that sapling, he does not know its branches and leaves, he does not know the flowers, he does not know the fruits, but he plants the seedling of that sapling and waters it in due course, and the trunk of that tree gradually becomes lush with branches and leaves, and abundant with flowers and fruits, and then he enjoys its branches and leaves, flowers and fruits. \tSubhuti, similarly, great Bodhisattvas also correctly enter into unsurpassed perfect enlightenment for the sake of sentient beings, and they gradually practice the six paramitas, and subsequently obtain all-knowingness, and like leaves, flowers, and fruits, they become the near reliance of all sentient beings. \tAmong them, the leaves are what the Bodhisattvas rely on, which completely liberates sentient beings from the three lower realms. The flowers are what is relied on, from the royal lineage like the great Sala tree, to the birth among the gods between the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. The fruit is this, what the great Bodhisattvas rely on, which establishes sentient beings from the fruit of stream-enterer, to arhat, solitary Buddha, and all-knowingness. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who acts in that way is brave with the supreme fruit for all sentient beings, and so on.

The various conceptualizations of the opposing aspects of the path of meditation have been explained. Explanation of the Uninterrupted Samadhi: Now, we shall speak of the uninterrupted samadhi, which is the immediate antecedent to attaining Buddhahood itself. Therefore: "Having made an example of the virtues of arranging beings in the three thousand worlds as Shravakas, and the perfect realization of Pratyekabuddhas, and the flawless Bodhisattvas, with much merit, it is the uninterruptedness of Buddhahood itself, that is, the Uninterrupted Samadhi." Thus it is said. How is it that placing all beings of the three thousand great thousand world realms in the stages of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, rather than those beings born from Bodhisattvas, who generate the mind of unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment for the sake of all beings, the merit increases greatly. Similarly, placing all beings of the three thousand great thousand world realms in the stage of white perception, and similarly in the stage of lineage, and similarly in the stage of abandonment, and similarly in the stage of seeing, and the stage of thinning, and the stage of detachment from desire, and the stage of realization of action, and the stage of Pratyekabuddhas, and the flawless entry of Bodhisattvas, the vast merit accumulated by Bodhisattvas entering the stages of enlightenment, is the Uninterrupted Samadhi, which is the uninterrupted cause for attaining Buddhahood itself, one should understand the meaning of what is said in this way. Among these, the entry of Bodhisattvas refers to entering the fourth fruit, not the eighth. If asked how this should be understood? Thus, those Bodhisattvas who have entered the path to enlightenment, having accumulated the vast merit of the Tathagatas, are therefore called the "Collected," and thereby directly make the Tathagata even more excellent. What is the Uninterrupted Samadhi, which becomes the immediate cause, and what is the state of Buddhahood itself? It is the knowledge of all aspects. Thus it is said, as it is said, at such a time one should thus attend to the knowledge of all aspects. The object of this is not real.
