Thus it is said: The mind defiled by illusion, offering with evil thoughts, constantly attending and serving the guru, yet without respect and not prostrating. Until one attains samadhi, offering milk and other offerings. The basis of all the qualities of the Buddhas, once this jewel is obtained, one does not even ask "Are you well?", but always seeks faults. Thus it is said. Therefore, having examined correctly in this way, if the mind becomes completely pure, then one should associate with him. If it is not so, then one should not associate, thus it is thought. Similarly, the disciple should also examine completely and establish a relationship with the guru. Why is this so? Because most people in the world, with impure minds, with false sweet words, are attached to these various things, thereby proclaiming non-dharma, or deceiving sentient beings with false words. Therefore, the disciple should also examine the guru in this way, is this person's mind pure, or is his mind impure? If the mind is impure, then one should not establish a relationship with him. It is also said: It is said that it is not the conduct of a guru, false views fill the mind, because of attachment, to others, he also vigorously proclaims (evil) dharma. Those children are the sentient beings', evil friends, they abide in the retinue and faction of demons, causing both self and others to decline. For those people, sentient beings should always abandon, should not attend and serve, should not prostrate to them, nor should they follow them. Thus it is said. Therefore, with an impure mind, only a nominal guru, is what those who desire good should completely abandon in every way. If a relationship is established with a disciple or guru with an impure mind, then what will happen to both of them? The samaya will be broken due to improper conduct. If the samaya is broken, then what will happen? It is said "similarity" etc., similarity is equality. Samaya is what the guru should not transgress. Therefore, it is both samaya and similarity, hence similar samaya, similarity itself is the nature of the actions of both. These two ways should also be guarded.

To be done and to be eaten. Among them, what should be protected is also of two kinds: what should be taken and what should be abandoned. Among them, what should be taken is the nature of virtue, and what should be abandoned is the nature of non-virtue. What should be taken is also of three kinds: body, speech, and mind. Among them, killing and so on are of the body, lying and so on are of speech, and greed and so on are of the mind. The vows to be eaten are also of two kinds: always closely practiced and occasionally closely practiced. Among them, what is always closely practiced is the five lamps and so on, and what is occasionally closely practiced is holding the vajra and so on. Or, the "equal samaya" is called "equal" which means "similar", which is synonymous with "equality" and "agreement". The meaning of samaya, the way words are combined, is the same as before. This equal samaya is also of two kinds: the actions of the guru and the actions of the disciple. Among them, the action of the disciple is to receive empowerment as in the ritual. From then on, you are Vajrapani, what should I do? These mantras, mudras, and mandalas, etc., should not be spoken to those who have not received empowerment and have not seen the mandala. If you do not abandon shame and do things out of time, you will fall into hell, etc. Saying such things is the action of the guru. The true conduct of the guru and other high-ranking people is the action of the disciple. The breaking of the equal samaya is confusion. The breaking of the equal samaya is also a fault, meaning downfall and non-virtue. He is the meaning of "because of what". Whose fault is it? It is said to be "the teacher", the teacher and the disciple are the teacher and the student, it is their fault. The meaning is that if the samaya is broken, it is a fault because it is the cause of the decline of the guru's accomplishment; for the disciple, it will cause immediate harm of physical and mental torment in this life, and it will also cause suffering in the lower realms in the next life, so it is a great fault. Similarly, it is also an act of non-dharma. In order to show the faults of the disciple.
