In some places, they manifest the conduct of enlightenment; in some places, they manifest enlightenment; in some places, they manifest turning the wheel of Dharma; and in some places, they manifest passing into nirvana. They abide in forms such as Buddhas, in accordance with the beings to be tamed, and attain the eternal form body through the very constancy of permanence, which is the attainment of the emanation body. It should be understood that the attainment of the two form bodies is also due to the power of the accumulation of merit; these are the Buddhas themselves. As for the term "diligent one," diligence means long-term habituation with reverence and without interruption, because this person possesses diligence. The meaning is that for this diligent one, in this very life, in the visible Dharma, one gives and bestows abundantly. It is also said: According to the method of the Paramitas, afflictions will become long-lasting fruits; according to the method of mantras, only the absence of afflictions is quickly accomplished. Those with the power of length and shortness, those who have faith in this first one, the path of the wise whose faith increases is different. Thus it is said. The phrase "always also" and so on, speaks of what the disciple should always do: always also keep vows. Always means continuously, and the word "also" is used for emphasis. Vows have already been explained. Keeping means to abide. Having gone to suchness and then come from there, therefore it is Tathagata, or having gone for the sake of sentient beings, and thus having benefited sentient beings, therefore it is Tathagata, that is, the Buddhas. Always, that is, each day, one should make offerings with various kinds of offerings. Always means at all times. To offer to the Lama means to honor and give, that is the meaning. If one asks, if there are Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, why offer to the Lama? The phrase "this is" and so on, is spoken here, "this" means the Lama. "Is" means "for what reason." All Buddhas are all Tathagatas, similar means the same. Tathagatas and so on have abandoned all obscurations along with habitual tendencies, and know all knowable things without obstruction, while others are inferior.

If it is said that ignorance obscures the nature of all dharmas, then how can they and this have sameness? Because the Dharmata-kaya has sameness. Dharmata is emptiness, because it always exists as it is, therefore it is Suchness. It is also said that whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the Dharmata of all dharmas, the abiding nature of dharma, this is the abiding nature. There is no difference between the Suchness of the noble ones and the Suchness of the scholars, therefore all the Lamas and Buddhas are the same. It is also said that whatever is the Suchness of the Tathagatas and whatever is the Suchness of ordinary beings, this is one, non-dual and cannot be made into two. If that is the case, then lions and robbers and earth spirits and other gods, and ordinary beings and the Tathagatas would also be the same. It is true, but even so, because the mind of Bodhicitta has arisen in them, it is not said that one should prostrate and make offerings to such beings. The nature of Bodhicitta is called Tathagata. It is also said: Whoever generates Bodhicitta out of delusion, prostrates to gods who are not Sugatas, Sangha gods, they do not generate loving minds towards them, and after destroying the mantras, they do not accomplish anything. Fierce powers, Indra, wind, sound, etc. may also be, gods who give fear are not worthy of prostration. They are not to be relied upon for the Dharma, they are not abundant, those who hold their signs are also not to be offered to. One should not practice asceticism with hateful dharmas, and one should not rejoice in their actions. One should not utter their praises, nor recite mantras. Abandon pride and give the gift of compassion. Or, because they do not have the Buddha-nature, they should not be regarded as Buddhas. If asked, how can one know that they do not have the lineage? From not seeing the signs. The signs of the Buddha-nature are briefly four: compassion for all sentient beings even before union, faith in the Mahayana, patience in the sense of not caring about practicing austerities, and the perfection of
