Also, there is no samatha and vipassana, and no post-meditation either, but they consider all kinds of dualistic appearances as non-existent. Meditation is also all mind, so it is established with 'and'. The fault of looking at faults is like the Carvaka, and the fault of meditation is like the Sautrantika. The Carvaka says: Whatever appears, the mind itself, free from activity, appears as the Dharmakaya. There is nothing other than the mind, and dwelling in clarity and non-conceptuality is bliss. Brahma is also Brahma itself, and my wisdom is the best of Brahma. In terms of appearance, whatever appears is mind, and it has always been so. There is no action, skill, or concept, and no doubt. Even now, the Dharmakaya appears, but it is mind itself, and dwelling in non-conceptuality is bliss. This clarity and non-conceptuality is called the god Brahma, called the Dharmakaya, called the Buddha. There is no other meaning more superior than that. By realizing it, one considers oneself spontaneously accomplished and no different from the Buddha. The Sautrantika's meditation is to stabilize meditation and to focus the mind on the tip of the nose. In this way, the impermanence of a moment is its characteristic. In meditation, because everything is mind, there is no samatha and vipassana, and because it is inherently self-aware, there is no need to practice. The view of no characteristics is not with characteristics, because characteristics are mistaken consciousness, and ultimately there are no characteristics. The sutra says: The mind disturbed by habitual tendencies strongly clings to what appeared earlier. Just as wind disturbs water, and ice comes from water, the ice is water, caused by wind. Similarly, disturbed by habitual tendencies and clinging to things, appearances are seen by the mind, but the mind is without characteristics. Logically, if characteristics are mind, are they separate or simultaneous? If they are separate, they are like the Vaisheshika, and there is no mixture. Is mind characteristics? Or are both? If characteristics are mind, then why can't the unobjectified object be known? If mind is characteristics, it will become inanimate. If it is both, is it composed or uncomposed? If it is composed, is there a reason for not composing? If not, then why does the previous or present appearance appear empty in the mind? Why doesn't the mind become appearance? Why don't the objects and senses become objects? If there is, where is it composed, where is it uncomposed, and what characteristics does the mind have when the two are separate? Furthermore, the views of other teachers are also covered by the four logical arguments of Madhyamaka. Teacher Vakishvara

To consider the various appearances as non-dual is to consider the various appearances as non-dual in the mind, which is the former view, but this view can also be refuted. Are the appearances white, red, or with or without conceptual thought? If without conceptual thought, then how is it known that appearances and mind are non-dual? That is because the eyes see very far, so there are various appearances, because it is not realized that there is non-duality in the mind, so it is considered a pith instruction. Because it is recognized as various appearances, it is said that it is now known through direct perception. But that has many faults, is that originally so, or is it now so? If it is originally so, then why was it not known before? Even if it is known, it is useless, then there is no need. Even if it is known, there is a need, if it has not been recognized, then self-awareness will disappear. If it is now so, then there was none before and none after, then it becomes annihilation. Or, by what is that non-duality known? Is it known by others, or is it known by itself? If it is known by others, then self-awareness will disappear. Does it know itself, or does it know by arising from it? If it knows itself, then is it always so, or is it not always so? If it is always so, then it becomes non-eternal. If it is non-eternal, then there is no object of knowledge. Why was it not known before? If a condition is needed, then as mentioned above, if it is itself, then is it time or type? If it is so, then what is the use of appearance? Or, if it is useful to arise from it, then is it the object of knowledge or the subject of knowledge? What are the object of knowledge and the subject of knowledge? If the object of knowledge non-dual arises, then when there is no subject of knowledge, what is the object of knowledge? If the subject of knowledge arises, then when there is no object of knowledge, what does the subject of knowledge do? It is unreasonable for two to appear simultaneously in an instant. Therefore, without the object of knowledge, it cannot become the subject of knowledge. Without the subject of knowledge, the object of knowledge cannot be known. Therefore, if both do not arise, then one cannot know. Therefore, the self-awareness without appearance, without elaboration, inconceivable, is non-eternal in an instant. What exists constantly is the ultimate truth. Shantipa considers the subsequent attainment to be the emanation body. Others arise from non-conceptual thought. Meditation is also placing the mind in that state.
