I will not change! Furthermore, the venerable master Dignāga said, "This is the one path to the city of Nirvana, the light of the Sugata's sun shines, thousands of noble beings enter the selflessness of nature, the victorious ones with inferior minds cannot see." Thus it was said. Furthermore, the venerable Nāgārjuna, in order to show the excellence of this great essence, and in order to generate respect for the self-awareness of each Dharma nature, said in the explanation of the mind of enlightenment, "Whoever does not know emptiness, is not a vessel for liberation. That ignorant one wanders in the six realms, in this prison of existence." Thus it was said. Furthermore, in that very text, it says, "The cessation of virtuous and non-virtuous thoughts is characteristic. The teacher, the Buddha, said, it is not the nature of non-existence." Thus it was said. Furthermore, in the same way, "As many views as there are, which embodied beings enter, in order to avert the faults of views, the Victorious One taught emptiness. Whoever, having heard of emptiness, does not turn away from bad views, becomes stained by views, like a sick person abandoned by a doctor. Just as fire burns wood, and because there is nothing to burn, it does not remain, so too, having burned the wood of views, the fire of emptiness will cease. At the time when views cease, the fire of wisdom will truly arise, burning all afflictions, and having burned the afflictions, it is extremely beautiful." Thus it was said. Similarly, the venerable master Kambala, in the Garland of Light, said, "If emptiness is the antidote to the darkness of the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, why should one not meditate on it, since one wishes to quickly know everything?" Thus it was said. Similarly, in order to show the excellence of knowing emptiness, "All sentient beings gather a collection of merit, the Bodhisattva's mind of enlightenment is far superior to that. As many Bodhisattvas as there are, the merit that arises from the mind of enlightenment is even greater than that which arises from holding the sacred Dharma. The collection of merit that arises from the mind of enlightenment, and that which arises from holding the sacred Dharma, is not even one-sixteenth of that which has faith in emptiness." Thus it was said.

Similarly, by viewing emptiness, you control the fears of individual beings. In order to dispel their fears, it is said in the chapter on wisdom: Whatever thing generates fear, fear will arise from it. If emptiness destroys fear, why does fear arise from it? If there is such a thing as 'I,' then one will fear from anything. If 'I' is nothing at all, from what will fear arise? Thus it is said. Similarly, the venerable Nagarjuna said in the Ratnavali: Even the truly excellent dharmas, appear subtle and profound, and the Victorious Ones say that children who lack learning are afraid. 'I exist' does not mean 'I do not exist,' and 'my existence' does not mean 'I do not exist.' Children are afraid of that, but fear ceases for the wise. Thus it is said. Again, in order to clarify this, the venerable Nagarjuna said in the Hymn Beyond the World: In order to abandon all conceptualizations, the nectar of emptiness is taught, but you have also made the grasping of it nonexistent. Possessing desirelessness and power, empty, arising from conditions like an illusion, O Protector, you show all dharmas to be without substance. Thus it is said. Thus, although all dharmas are shown very clearly in the wisdom of emptiness, those children who are caught in the river of existence with no beginning, controlled by ignorance, and possessed by demons who cling to what is not true, do not understand that all ultimate truths, such as emptiness and the realm of dharma, are truly shown with many names, having the characteristic of one taste, and are certainly excellent, and should be regarded as the highest for those who desire them. They are overwhelmed by wrong knowledge, with ignorance as the cause of their nature of non-existence, the characteristics of karma and afflictions, experiencing the nature of suffering continuously from moment to moment, and they cherish the path of the wheel of existence. That is, from the hell realm to the realm of the pretas, and then to the realm of the Thirty-Three. When virtuous deeds are exhausted, from the realm of the Thirty-Three to the realm of animals.
