Because of this, since there is no pervader, there is also nothing to be pervaded. Therefore, through this analysis, since it is non-elaboration, one should know that beings are the nature of the Dharmakaya, and completely recollect from the mind-only, and in the manner of one and many, etc., one should also recollect Suchness as the manner of non-appearance. Therefore, it is said: Having recollected from the mind-only, one should recollect from non-appearance. The manner of non-elaboration also abides in non-appearance, and that is Suchness. In what is called Mahayana, another form of the name is called Mahamudra, and it is said that it will be seen. That is: The yogi who abides in non-appearance, he will see the Mahayana. And walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, one is in equanimity. Seeing, hearing, and likewise meditating, feeling and touching are also meditated upon. The eye of wisdom is the nature of purity, and one strives diligently in analysis. Because one does not know all dharmas, even if one sees, it is not seeing. Seeing this Suchness, if one analyzes with wisdom, seeing with correct wisdom, one will not see all dharmas. Regarding this, in the Bhagavati Mother Sutra, it is said: What is the wisdom eye of the Buddha Bhagavan? It is that which does not see anything. Similarly, what is seeing the ultimate truth? It is not seeing all dharmas. Thus it is said. Therefore, the yogis of Suchness, even abiding in all activities, even if they have seen all dharmas, it is as if they have not seen. Such a state is called non-seeing, and it is not like falling asleep or closing the eyes, not attending to anything. If that were the case, because the habitual tendencies have not been abandoned, just as one rises from the samadhi of non-perception, one would again generate attachment, etc., rooted in the habitual tendencies of clinging to appearances such as form, etc., and therefore one would not become a yogi. Because the clinging to appearances such as form, etc., from beginningless time, cannot be completely abandoned merely by not attending to it, and even through the samadhi of non-perception, etc., it cannot be abandoned.

If one has not abandoned doubt about objects such as form, one cannot abandon focusing on them. It is like not being able to abandon heat without abandoning fire completely. Therefore, one should eliminate attachment to appearances such as form by abandoning the seed of doubt. It is certain that it should be done like pulling out a thorn. Abandoning the seed of doubt should also be done by making calm abiding and insight mutually compatible. When the appearance of calm abiding, which is characterized by one-pointedness of mind, arises, the doubts of the yogi who discerns with the eye of wisdom will be dispelled. By being separated from that, one is separated from attachment to appearances such as form. Also, having separated from that, one realizes that all phenomena are without substance, and that is the perfection of wisdom. Moreover, at that time, calm abiding and insight are of that nature, and that is the yoga of supreme non-discrimination. That is: By abandoning all discriminations, This is the supreme yoga. Whatever yogi manifestly Abides becomes the all-knowing Bhagavan. Thus, in this order, through calm abiding and insight, or through the oral instructions of the lama, the Bhagavan generates the mother of wisdom. Because the Bodhisattva is endowed with great power, by the cause of that certainty, he realizes non-retrogression, and fully engages in the nature of the perfection of wisdom, as well as in means such as generosity. Moreover, in the Noble Gaya Head Mountain Sutra, it is said: These two are a concise summary of the path of the Bodhisattva, namely means and wisdom. Means are the perfections such as generosity, and the distinctions such as immeasurables and the objects of gathering. This is also stated in the sutras such as the Noble Inexhaustible Intelligence and Jewel Cloud. Wisdom is the cause of completely determining means without error. Also, having properly examined the means, one practices the benefit of oneself and others as it is, without error, like using poison that is seized by mantra, and one will not become completely afflicted. Also, in that same sutra, it says that means is gathering.
