Thus, abiding is nonexistent, thus specifically abide. Therefore, this close examination is: relying on mind-only, external objects are impermanent. Thus it is said, because external objects do not exist, what is to be grasped does not exist, therefore the consciousness of the grasper also does not exist. Separated from the aspects of what is grasped and what grasps, abiding in suchness in a non-dual manner, abandon mind-only in the manner of what is grasped and what grasps. Thus, as it is said: focusing on suchness, mind-only itself should also be abandoned. Thus it is said. Therefore, relying on consciousness, external objects are completely abandoned. Abiding in the object of emptiness, the part of the grasper should also be abandoned. Thus, because of being separated from both ways, the way of the mind which is the nature of emptiness is going, having determined thus, again it should be examined in this way: is it one or many or in the manner of both? Is it born or unborn? If born, does it arise from itself or from others or from both? Does it arise from no cause? Likewise, is it in the manner of things or in the manner of non-things? Thus and so on should be examined separately. Among them, for the time being, since going is various, it is neither one nor many. The way of the mind is also unknowable, therefore it is not in the manner of both. If not born, then not ceasing. Going is neither things nor non-things. Oneself is the nature of Dharmakaya. Among them, for the time being, it is not one, if it becomes one, then it will not become the various consciousness that appears in the manner of blue, yellow, and so on. All of yellow and so on will become the consciousness of blue. Blue also appears with the distinctions and kinds of before, after, and middle, therefore it will not become consciousness, because whatever has parts of directions, it is established by the reason that it should not become one. Therefore, only as much as atoms appear separately. It is also not many, if it becomes many, then in the suchness of the nature of emptiness separated from what is grasped and what grasps, since there is no difference of atoms, and there is nothing more real than that, so each atom becomes a

Then it would become a fault of appearing as different. It is also unreasonable as a way of being both, because there is no such knowledge. In short, if our valid cognition is direct perception, then it is impossible to closely perceive following or opposite ways, together or separately, through direct perception. Furthermore, since that is prior, if there is no such certainty regarding the mother, then how can following and opposite ways be examined limitlessly? However, it is unreasonable to go mad with one's own knowledge in the manner of various reasons. For the time being, that which exists by way of negating others is not without following and opposition. If it is said that it should be examined unreasonably from its own nature, that is not correct, because there is no elaboration merely by way of experience, so it is very clear and reasonable, because there is no need to understand through meaning. Therefore, birth is also unreasonable, because there is no valid cognition in the way of cause and effect. If one engages in valid cognition in the way of prior and later, then for the non-dual knowledge that is completely separate from the two ways established in the way of cause and effect, there is no engagement of prior and later, and there is no other knowledge besides that, therefore it is said to be without valid cognition. Thus, when there is no valid cognition in the way of cause and effect, and therefore birth itself does not exist, then from what does it arise, from self and other, or from both, or from no cause? Therefore, correct knowledge sees that all phenomena do not arise through this analysis, so the teacher Nagarjuna said: 'Looking at the correct knowledge that arises from the condition of ignorance, neither birth nor cessation is apprehended.' Thus it is said. Therefore, since there is no birth in that suchness, it is also not existent as the way of a real entity, because existence is a real entity, so it is the differentiation and establishment of existence itself that has prior existence. Thus, that which is of the nature of destruction, the way of non-entity itself, also does not exist. Because there is no nature of entity and non-entity, all expressions are also non-existent, because they abide in entity and non-entity, therefore they pervade both.
