Merely striving manifestly for the meaning and doing the deed of showing the truth. Regarding the samadhi of the selflessness of all dharmas as if it were a precipice, thus not showing non-duality. The teachers do not show everything to everyone; the proximate showing is done because it is necessary. Bodhisattvas, because they have profound and vast thoughts, not all forms are necessary. Showing the Four Noble Truths is also necessary. If someone were to say, "Suffering and so forth are themselves the Suchness, and seeing it can also be obtained through asceticism and the merits of practice, and therefore should be accomplished with powerful effort. Even if this non-dual wisdom is not the Suchness, showing it as the Suchness is for the sake of entering the Suchness. Why not explain how all sentient beings should meditate as they wish?" If someone says, "What is the use of falling into the aspect of non-dual wisdom?" then it should be said here: "Emptiness in the Great Vehicle, thus it is said, thus it is. Knowing that it does not agree with this, how can there be the words of the Sage?" Here, it is not spoken by one's own conceptualization; otherwise, the Teacher himself said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "Intoxicated by the pride of samadhi, abiding in the realm of the unpolluted." And again in the same sutra, "Great Wisdom, these are those of the lineage of realization in the Hearer Vehicle, having the thought of Nirvana in what is not Nirvana. Great Wisdom, in order to turn them away from evil views, yoga should be practiced." Therefore, liberation cannot be attained through other paths, so the Blessed One proclaimed the One Vehicle. There and there, the Blessed One has shown the rejection of dwelling together with Hearers and the precepts of universal speech, etc., to the Bodhisattvas. We also enter in this way. Like this, if any scripture does not show that non-dual wisdom is the method for obtaining true wisdom, then how can one act perversely? The wise ones of the past

They also consider that things are neither one nor many, therefore, the non-existence of things is demonstrated by the power of reason itself. The Blessed One also said in the Lankavatara Sutra: Like images in a mirror, neither one nor many, although they appear, they do not actually exist there, so is the reality of things. Again, it is said: If discriminated by the mind, self-nature cannot be determined, therefore, they are inexpressible and are shown to be non-existent. Whatever is proven by scripture and reason, abandoning it is without scripture, it itself is other. Without measure, how can the wise acknowledge it? Since it is described by words such as non-duality, non-origination, non-thing, emptiness, etc., it cannot be measured by words such as one and many. Therefore, the ultimate truth is definitely explained as a lamp, so it must be grasped definitively. Therefore, one abides in such a state: non-duality itself is the only suchness. Furthermore, the true wisdom obtained through asceticism and the merits of practice, etc., and the non-dual wisdom, should also be practiced as all sentient beings desire. Whoever says this is slandering the Mahayana, merely clearly showing ignorance, and is not able to establish one's own tenets, because wherever suffering is shown, it is not correct, even though outsiders have extremely difficult ascetic practices such as practicing the five fires, but they do not even have a word of correct wisdom. The Blessed One also showed asceticism and other methods to those of that kind as a way to turn their backs on samsara, such as saying: The wise abide in discipline, and should cultivate mind and wisdom. etc., but for Bodhisattvas, detachment from desire is not the way to attain the supreme state, because they possess great compassion. This is because they naturally love beings, and even if they see a being suffering, they will not abandon them, therefore, attachment to one object is also the cause of remaining in samsara,

How can all feelings become objects and turn away from samsara? Furthermore: Whoever is not stingy with life, children, and land and water, Generously gives like grass for the sake of the poor, The holy being who shares the suffering to save the three realms, Who else in the world is more attached than them? It is said. Therefore, those who are devoted to the means of accomplishing the three existences are not merely pursuing their own interests, Therefore, the Blessed One did not allow them to follow the path of detachment from desire. If this is the case, then how can this Bodhisattva attain the boundless state of perfect and pure enlightenment wisdom, free from all habitual tendencies and faults? Because attachment and so on are not places of faultless qualities. It should be said: Just as it is in the three realms, Attachment is the way to know the path, Similarly, for the wise, This is also the way to attain the supreme state. Bodhisattvas who practice the Paramitas do not engage in the thought of ordinary asceticism and the merits of practice, etc., but the supreme asceticism that they most desire in their hearts is only one, and that is great compassion. Bodhisattvas who practice great asceticism are not necessarily certain about things, but they do whatever they can to perfectly accomplish the benefit of others. Bodhisattvas universally abide in the abandonment of attachment to women who go to evil destinies, without regard to the Pratimoksha vows, etc., and the behavior of attaining the supreme state is their pure conduct. Therefore, they point out the undeviating path, and also practice the despised asceticism of cows and dogs, and enter all evil destinies like a goose king entering a lake. It is useless to say more, How can it become a method to save all sentient beings, that is compassion.
