The mantra practitioner who acts through sexual desire, in accordance with the aspiration, generates the mind of great compassion for all sentient beings, and in accordance with his own mind, contemplates the essence of the vajra of sexual desire as the Tathagata Amitabha. He offers perfect worship with the small offerings described in the tantras, and recalls his own mantra and mudra, and dwells in the samadhi called the nature of great desire, which is the self-nature of boundless universal joy. This is also the self-nature of joy pervaded by great compassion, abandoning all conceptual thoughts. Similarly, the mantra practitioner who acts through anger, and the mantra practitioner who acts through ignorance, generates the mind of great compassion in accordance with the aspiration, and in accordance with his own mind, contemplates the essence of the vajra of anger as the Tathagata Akshobhya, or the essence of the vajra of ignorance as the Bhagavan Vairochana, and offers worship with the small offerings described in the tantras. He also recalls his own mantra and mudra, and dwells in the samadhi as the self-nature of boundless anger, or in the manner of boundless ignorance, and so forth. Doubt and pride are sometimes said to be non-different, because they are the self-nature of ignorance and anger. Where they are said to be different, it should be explained as before, that they are established as meaningful, and are the self-nature of Ratnasambhava. Similarly, according to the difference in the intent of the tantras, the self-nature of wrath and attachment should also be combined with the self-nature of jealousy and miserliness. Similarly, the vidya goddesses such as the foolish joyful woman are the self-nature arising from the mind, which is the self-nature of the difference in intention that is the antidote to displeasure. The wrathful kings such as Yamantaka, who dispel the obstacles of the ten directions, are also without shame, without embarrassment, jealous, miserly, proud, regretful, sleepy and drowsy, that is, the eight all-pervasive afflictions, as well as anger and concealment, thus in total

The nature of the mental events arising from the ten grounds should be combined according to their respective situations. Similarly, bodhisattvas such as Ksitigarbha should also be understood as having the nature of the six consciousnesses that enter the six objects such as form, and as being the nature of true enlightenment. In this way, this part of the mandala of the mind is what the Bhagavan taught to those with great intelligence and clear wisdom. Those bodhisattvas, goddesses, wrathful deities, and lords who are particularly described in other tantric distinctions should also ascertain their characteristics, functions, and so on, and understand that they are different from others by the nature of mind and mental events. Because one cannot settle the mind on extremely subtle mind and mental events, nor can one firmly establish the truth of the infinitely vast form body with faces and hands, and because one cannot enter the nature of desire vajra and so on when uttering sounds, therefore, the Sugata revealed the mandala of speech. The oral instruction for that is this: Oṃ(藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Āḥ(藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hūṃ(藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽)are said to be the heart mantras of the Tathāgata Vairocana, Amitābha, and Akṣobhya. Jina Jika and so on are not the heart mantras themselves because they are the essence of generation. If one wonders what the difference is between these two, it is the realization of the extremely subtle. These mantras and so on are good and naturally accomplished, spoken by the omniscient, and only the omniscient knows the difference between them. We are analyzing and approximating a rough understanding in order to stabilize the guru's oral instructions in our minds. The rough explanation given by the gurus is that those who generate themselves through the generation sequence of the bodies of Vairocana and so on perform the activity of generating from the seed syllables Jina Jika and so on, while the heart mantra syllables Oṃ and so on should be recited. It should be illustrated approximately like this: that which corresponds to the initial object of the deities is
