十二指加一半指节为一肘。十肘为一百二十五指节。眼母等天女们十二指为一肘。九肘为一百零八指，宽度也是如此。菩萨们也是十二指的十肘。矮小且腹部下垂者，以及忿怒尊们为八肘，即九十六指。嬉戏的忿怒尊们为十肘，八十二指，高度和宽度也是如此。肢体和近肢都要了解。导师前来宣讲佛法时，舍利子向世尊如此禀告：世尊不住世时，具信的善男子或善女子们应如何修持？世尊开示道：舍利子，我圆寂后，为了供养和侍奉，应造佛像。尼拘陀树的坛城，宽度和身体一样，身体和宽度也一样。总之，肢体和近肢，也就是身体的各个部分，要丰满圆润，具有嬉戏和妩媚，七处高耸，面颊宽大，头顶如伞状，肩膀安稳，顶髻等非常端正。因此，高度、宽度、高低、关节弯曲和伸展的尺寸，与佛像和菩萨像的尺寸相同。所谓圆润，是指皮肤圆润。嬉戏，是指引人入胜。妩媚，是指具有三处弯曲等功德。所谓七处高耸，七是指身体的部位，高耸是指必定高耸和非常高耸的同义词。哪些是呢？双足、双手、双肩和颈部。其他是广为人知的，稍微高一点也称为高耸。顶髻是四指，也是头发的部位。同样，前额和鼻子的尺寸也是如此。从鼻子下方到眼眶边缘是四指，加上四粒青稞的长度。这本身就是小部分。

Twelve fingers plus half a finger joint is an elbow. Ten elbows are one hundred and twenty-five finger joints. For goddesses such as Caks.umātā, twelve fingers are an elbow. Nine elbows are one hundred and eight fingers, and the width is also the same. Bodhisattvas also have ten elbows of twelve fingers. Those who are short and have drooping bellies, and wrathful deities, are eight elbows, which is ninety-six fingers. The playful wrathful deities are ten elbows, eighty-two fingers, and the height and width are also the same. All limbs and near limbs should be known. When the Teacher came to preach the Dharma, Śāriputra said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, when you are not present, how should sons or daughters of good family with faith practice? The Blessed One said: Śāriputra, even after I have passed into complete nirvāṇa, images should be made for the purpose of offering and veneration. The maṇḍala of the Nyagrodha tree is as wide as the body, and the body is as wide as it is. In all cases, the limbs and near limbs, that is, the parts of the body, should be plump and smooth, playful and charming, with seven high places and large cheeks, the crown of the head in the shape of an umbrella, the shoulders well-placed, and the uṣṇīṣa and so on very well-placed. Therefore, the dimensions of height, width, height, joint bending, and extension are the same as those of the Buddha images and the Bodhisattva images. Smoothness refers to smooth skin. Playful refers to being captivating. Charming refers to having qualities such as being bent in three places. The so-called seven high places, seven refers to the parts of the body, and high refers to synonyms for definitely high and very high. What are they? The two feet, the two hands, the two shoulders, and the neck. Others are well known, and slightly higher is also called high. The uṣṇīṣa is four fingers, which is also the place of the hair. Similarly, the dimensions of the forehead and nose are also the same. From below the nose to the edge of the eye socket is four fingers, plus the length of four barleycorns. This itself is a small part.

Thirteen is the part of the face. The thickness of the lips becomes two fingers, and so is the height, and the width is also considered to be four fingers. The cheeks are four fingers, reaching the root of the ear. The skin under the eyes, the lower part is raised. They are two fingers high and two fingers wide, which is relative to the Bodhicitta. Having remaining and completely perfect, like the cheeks of a great lion, is that of the Buddhas and Vajradharas, meaning slightly higher. The wrathful ones are flatly expanded and remaining. The width of the lower lip is two fingers, and the height is one-third of a finger. One-third of a finger is called a small part. The center of the lips is like a bimba fruit. One finger is the corner of the face, and the width of the face is four fingers. How the forty teeth grow and are arranged, is the order of the king's teeth, etc. The width and height of the upper lip are half a finger and four barleycorns. Below the tip of the nose, the lips are in the shape of a lotus petal of one-third of a finger, and the center of the mustache is the outline of the lips. The width of the nose is two fingers, and half of it, one finger, is the height. The Buddhas have a little more. Those who are very emaciated are slightly flat and protruding on the surface. Half a finger in size, even and round, is the nostril. The width of its nasal column and the curve of the tip of the nose is half a finger. The depression of the eye is four fingers. Its center is one finger wide. Starting from below the eyebrow, to the end of the lower end is three fingers. Between the eyes, the root of the nose is one finger. The eyebrow is four fingers, in the shape of a bow. The width of the center is two fingers, which is that of the Vajradharas. The wrathful ones are curved. The way the Buddhas look in meditation is two barleycorns, the width is two fingers, and six barleycorns are left over, in the shape of a fish. The width of the Bodhisattvas is four barleycorns, and the length is twenty barleycorns, in the shape of an উৎপala flower.
