Adorned with a diadem, slightly smiling, possessing a charming demeanor, residing on various lotuses and lunar mandalas, seated in the posture of a Bodhisattva. In particular, the gatekeeper mothers reside on solar mandalas. Others also abide on the moon. The third mandala, beginning with the powerful one, consists of the Bodhisattvas. Among them, on the eastern silk is Samantabhadra, yellow, with his right hand granting the supreme gift and his left hand holding a sword resting on an উৎপལ་ (utpala, 乌 উৎপལ་, blue lotus). These deities reside in the center of various lotuses and moon discs, abiding in the posture of a hero, possessing jeweled crowns, adorned with various jewels and garments, all with one face and two arms. In the east gate is the black, six-faced, pendulous-bellied, six-legged, six-armed Yama, the terminator of death, with the right hands holding an iron hook, sword, and arrow, and the left hands holding a noose with a threatening gesture, a bell, and a bow. The distinctions of the faces and feet are as described above. In the south gate is the yellow, four-faced terminator of wisdom, with the root face having a seductive expression and the right one open. In the west is the great powerful one, the left one peaceful, or these are yellow, blue, red, and green in that order. This one has eight arms, with the right hands holding a noose, vajra, sword, and arrows. The left hands hold an iron hook, vajra, bell, spear, and bow at the heart.
