Then, how should painters and others draw comfortably? The thickness should be one-twentieth of the door. The lines should be correct and straight. Maintain equality, be upright and not inclined. According to their respective categories, the distance between each other is about the size of a barley grain. How should the bottom and top be made beautiful? Drawing too thick will cause illness. Too thin will cause loss of wealth. Crookedness will cause hatred. If it is broken, the guru and disciple will die. If it is not drawn clockwise, the colors will be nailed down by pegs. Being nailed down by pegs is also not a cause of accomplishment. If they mix with each other, it will cause the lineage to be cut off. The Bhagavan said in order to pacify faults: What fault is there in drawing colors? That is because there is no thought and action. For those who have good thoughts and actions, no one can create obstacles. The mandala is like the sight of a shepherd, until when will it be examined? Up to here. For the lines of colors, one should also visualize them as the essence of needles and other objects made of white gems and so on. From entering and emerging, from lines to colors, fearing the threat of being obscured by sins, with the wisdom of Vajra force, With consciousness, lift the lines of colors to the sky, reciting ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་བེ་གཱ་ཀྲ་མ་ཧཱུཾ་ (Tibetan, oṃ vajra vega tra ma hūṃ, Devanagari, ॐ वज्र वेग त्र म हुं, Romanized Sanskrit, oṃ vajra vega tra ma hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning, Om, Vajra, Swift, Zha, Ma, Hum), in order to draw in the mandala within the root lines, entering and emerging will occur. First, for the mandala of all deities, the overall color order of the outer and inner mandalas should be explained. The Tathagatas of the east, south, west, and north directions, and the color order of the central main deity, starting from the outer lines, up to the inner lines, are the colors of the five-colored wall lines. Placing other deities in the directions and center is according to the color order of the increasing Tathagatas. For the mandala to be meditated upon, some say that these five walls are composed of five colors of jewels, with a gap of about a barley grain. Others say that this wall is unique, but gradually made of five colors of jewels from bottom to top. For the first view, it is the red ground of the jewel cloth, and the black ground of the necklace and half necklace. For the second view, it is the nature part of the jewel of the first color.
