Having obtained mindfulness, the ripening of virtue and non-virtue will become manifest by oneself, and even for the sake of life, one will not commit sinful deeds. The method of offering is, Venerable Ananda, those who wish to be completely liberated from great illness should, for the sake of that patient, take the eight-limbed uposatha vows for seven days. Offer and serve the Sangha of monks with food, drink, and all necessities as much as possible. Three times a day and three times at night, remember the names of the Seven Tathagatas, including the Bhagavan Medicine Master Bhaisajyaguru, King of Lapis Lazuli Light. This sutra should be recited forty-nine times. Light forty-nine lamps. Make seven Buddha images. Place seven lamps in front of each Buddha image. The size of each lamp should be as large as the spoke of a chariot wheel, and be sure to keep the lamps burning for forty-nine days without fail. Make more than forty-nine five-colored banners. Venerable Ananda, furthermore, if a king or a royal family member who has been crowned is harmed by illness, or harmed by his own or the enemy's army, or harmed by constellations, the moon, or the sun, or harmed by untimely wind, rain, or drought, in short, if a calamity, disease, or war is imminent, then that king or royal family member who has been crowned should generate a mind of loving-kindness towards sentient beings. Release those who have been imprisoned, and as mentioned before, if such offerings are made to the Bhagavan Medicine Master Bhaisajyaguru, King of Lapis Lazuli Light, then by the root of virtue of that king and the special power of the past aspirations of the Bhagavan Medicine Master Bhaisajyaguru, King of Lapis Lazuli Light, the country will be peaceful and the harvest will be good. , and to repay the kindness done to all sentient beings. For all those who die untimely, I will avert them. I will completely pacify all fighting, warfare, disputes, and debates. May it be accomplished as thought, with mind and body at ease, and may enjoyment, power, wealth, and grains increase. I will protect in all places. Bhagavan, may the son of a lineage or the daughter of a lineage remember these self-abandonments and vows that we have made. Tadyatha. Aghu. Maghu. Taraghu. Mamaghu. Ghure. Hahahe. Mra mra mra mra. Dzu dzure dzure svaha. Whoever holds, recites, writes, commissions to write, and reverently makes offerings to the names of the Tathagatas and these verses of the dharani, know that they will not go to the three lower realms, and they will never regress from the unexcelled perfect enlightenment. They will be born in the Buddha-fields they desire. They will see the Tathagatas. They will remember their lifetimes. They will also obtain samadhi and dharani. Thus he spoke and assented. Then, the Bodhisattva Vajrapani said to those Tathagatas: For the sake of those who hold the king of sutras, I will completely bestow the root of the secret mantra of the dharani.
