As for how the vessels should be prepared, they should also be prepared for offerings. For offerings, copper vessels are very auspicious for all activities. From these vessels, choose the vessel suitable for the lineage, activity, and accomplishment. Then, in order, with flowers and clean incense water, arrange according to the offering ritual, and fumigate thoroughly with incense. For pacifying and the highest accomplishment, barley and milk should be offered. For increasing and intermediate accomplishment, sesame and yogurt should be offered. For wrathful activities and the lowest accomplishment, cow urine and millet, or blood, should be offered. For all activities, whether highest, intermediate, or lowest, rice is auspicious. Incense, flowers, kusha grass, sesame, and water are all good without distinction. If these are not available, please forgive me and do what you can. Then, in order to invoke the secret mantra deity, after arranging the offerings, recite the vidyaraja of one's own lineage, or the essence of the common lineage. Recite the secret mantra for invoking that deity, or all the respective activities. Recite the vidyaraja and the mantra itself. Having recited in this way, look at the direction of the secret mantra place, or at the deity's image placed on the painting, etc., and say this: With faith and samaya, come here, come here, Bhagavan. Please accept my offerings, and please delight me with the offerings. Having said this, kneel down on both knees, and offer the highest mantras from the level of the head, the intermediate mantras from the chest, and the lower mantras from the level of the navel. Alternatively, since the mind is most important, invoke with any of the four methods. Join the palms, or offer, or take flowers, or join the palms, and with the words "Please come," etc., invoke with the mind, and according to the difference in activity, face east, north, south, or west, and request the deity to abide in front. The details should be learned from the tantras. To send them back, do as in the invocation ritual, but with mantra and mudra, specifically say, "Please depart." This is the mudra.

Then, cross the fingers of both hands, bend the palms inward, and extend the two index fingers side by side. Waving the two thumbs is the invitation. Turning them back is requesting them to return. This is the ritual of invitation. Having invited the deities in this way, the mantra holder should always recite the lotus, vajra, and hero postures, and in the morning, noon, and afternoon, in order, request the secret mantra to abide with the combination of mudras. Among them, the vow mudra of the lotus family is the lotus posture. On that mudra, making three fingers like a vajra is the vajra entering posture. On that mudra, joining the two middle fingers together is the hero's posture. Their secret mantras are: Om Kamalaya Svaha. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཀཱ་མ་ལཱ་ཡ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ kāmalāya svāhā, literal Chinese meaning: Om, Lotus, Svaha.) It is the lotus posture. Om Vajra Asani Hum Phat. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ས་ནི་ཧཱུ༵་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ vajra āsani hūṃ phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra, Seat, Hum, Phat.) It is the vajra posture. Om Vajra Biraka Hum Phat. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་བཱི་ར་ཀ་ཧཱུ༵་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ vajra bīraka hūṃ phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra, Hero, Hum, Phat.) It is the hero's posture. Having offered seats accordingly, show the Kili Kila Vajra, and then show the vow Vajra, which should be done with the three fingers of the right hand. The secret mantra is Sham Kare Samaye Svaha. (Tibetan: ཤཾ་ཀ་རེ་ས་མ་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: śaṃ kare samaye svāhā, literal Chinese meaning: Sham Kare, Samaya, Svaha.) Then show the family mudra and heart mantra. Among them, this is the mantra's mudra and heart mantra: Clenching both hands into fists and extending the two thumbs is the mudra of the Tathagata family. The secret mantra is Zina Zika. (Tibetan: ཛི་ན་ཛི་ཀ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: jina jika, literal Chinese meaning: Zina, Zika.) On that mudra, putting the left thumb inside and extending the right thumb is the heart mantra mudra of the lotus family. The secret mantra is Arolika. (Tibetan: ཨཱ་རོ་ལྀ་ཀ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: ārolika, literal Chinese meaning: Arolika.) Extending the left thumb is the heart mantra and mudra of the vajra family. The secret mantra is Vajra Dhrika. (Tibetan: བཛྲ་དྷྲྀ་ཀ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: vajra dhṛka, literal Chinese meaning: Vajra, Dhrika.) Then show your own heart mantra mudra. Then show the vidya mantra's consorts, with the palms joined in a gesture of reverence, hiding the two thumbs inside the hands and inserting the two index fingers into the third joint of the middle fingers, this is the mudra of the Tathagata family's consort. The mantra is: Om Ruru Sphuru Jvala Tistha Siddha Locani Sarva Artha Sadhani Svaha. Joining the palms is the consort of the lotus family. The secret mantra is: Three Jewels.
