This explains the other two. Alternatively, there are three types of harm: those arising from one's own causes, and those arising from the causes of others. Those arising from the causes of others are also of two types: those arising from causes that are not counted as sentient beings, and those arising from causes that are counted as sentient beings. If these are summarized, they become three. As remedies for these, one should know in order the three: guarding, protecting, and concealing. The difference in names is to generate manifest trust in those to be tamed. The ritual for causing yakshas, etc., to come has been explained as fivefold. What are the five? Two are to be made to appear and approach. It is taught for the sake of causing them to come. For the sake of causing them to come, if one thoroughly bathes and wears extremely clean clothes, then those yakshas will be made to appear and approach. Thus, thoroughly bathing is also of two types: washing with water in conjunction with external rituals, and inner discipline being completely pure. Wearing extremely clean clothes is also of two types: covering the body with external clean clothes, etc., and wrapping the body with the mind through inner love, etc. If one sees beauty that is completely pure both externally and internally, then those yakshas will be pleased to come. Thus, for the sake of coming, joy will be generated. One explains how to make them happy. It is explained by the word "walking." The yakshas, etc., are for the sake of coming. Walking is explained as the intention of welcoming. If it were not so, then what else would it explain? Thus, knowing how to seek meaning, those who have a mind of joy in coming, relying on the power of joy, then they will definitely come. These were not explained because they are easy to understand. Two cause them to generate respect. A mind without animosity and keeping the names of the Dharma in mind—these two will cause those yakshas to generate respect. Thus, with a mind without animosity, thinking becomes virtuous, and respect for qualities will arise. By keeping the names of the Dharma in mind, respect for the Dharma will arise. Thus, even after joy in wanting to come has arisen, it will show that they will definitely respect

Therefore, it is said, "those" and so on. After those yakshas arrive, they practice asceticism steadfastly, and quickly, without hesitation, they reveal the doors of the dharani. The word "door" encompasses the doors of endless dharanis, etc. The remaining meaning of the verses is not explained. Alternatively, like the chief of all limbs, because of praise, they are delighted in mind, so they arrive, and from them, there is no doubt that it will become a fruit. It is thought that if they are not happy, they will not show their faces. The benefits of the Bodhisattva are praised in six ways: number, order, mind, diligent effort to obtain name and dharani, and showing the dharani when diligently practicing the dharani. Those eight letters are the eight Bodhisattvas. Therefore, when meditating on that meaning, they will all benefit. The eight letters named "Pa" etc. are those of the eight Bodhisattvas, such as Vairochana, etc. Because they show their samadhi, therefore, those letters should all benefit when meditating on the meaning, therefore it is said eight. Because of joining in benefiting others, by the power of the aspiration, those who are born in this and that place, whatever it is, there is no doubt about it. Because these Bodhisattvas are controlled by wisdom and compassion, and are focused on benefiting others, they are born in this and that place among the gods who act in the desire realm. Therefore, for them, for what is said as "those" etc., whatever is said, it should be accepted without doubt and with certainty, and do not create confusion about this, this is the final advice. When praising the lineage of yakshas, this is also meant, they are the Bodhisattvas themselves, in order to benefit those who are tamed by the yakshas with great supernatural powers, they are born like the noble Vajrapani, it is like that, if they are not Bodhisattvas, if it is not like that, then, because those yakshas have no power, diligently practicing the dharani, they benefit those who dwell in other world realms.
