Arya Ananta Mukha Nirdhara Dharani Tika. In Tibetan: A Commentary on the Dharani for Accomplishing the Holy Limitless Gate. Homage to youthful Manjushri! Having paid homage to the perfect Buddha, the Dharma, and also the Sangha, I will briefly explain the meaning of the Dharani for Accomplishing the Limitless Gate. The perfect Buddhas and their sons have truly comprehended all that is knowable. How could one like me, with afflicted and weak intellect, be capable of this profound Dharani? Although it is very clear that this is not the place, I will nevertheless explain the meaning of the Dharani. I am urged by faith and respect, and there is nothing that those with independent minds cannot do. To accomplish all the desired objects of the world, I am not powerful, inferior, nor have I done anything meaningful. I fear that in future lives I will be born as such a person. Therefore, I will thoroughly analyze this body. The introduction and the basis, the assembly and the need, having examined them correctly, I will earnestly request for the sake of great benefit. By explaining the meaning, I pray to the capable one for vast knowledge, and I pray to the capable one, and I make a vow to manifest the right direction, the protection and the essence of the Dharani, and the praise and benefits of it, the means of obtaining it and the benefits, and the past events of it, the greatness of the categories of Dharma, asking for the name and the two actions, and also showing it in joy, these are briefly summarized here. This sutra is explained in nineteen ways, and among them, it is said that the self is the measure, so in order to show the meaning of what should be truly collected without reversing it, the introduction is shown first. The reason for showing it without reversing it is also so that the beings to be tamed can grasp this without hesitation. After that, the basis of the discourse is shown because it is the basis of the teaching. Then, because it is the place of teaching and because it is necessary, the assembly of the retinue is shown. Then the assembly of the retinue
