Furthermore, for those with merit, there is no fault, as it is merely to correctly contemplate how merit is, whether little or much. If someone says, "Hearing is merely hearing the teachings, so why mention 'teachings'?" then the meaning is this: All perfect Buddhas have heard the teachings from ninety kotis. The rest are called Dharma. If that is the case, then the meaning is this: The Dharma taught by all Buddhas is heard from ninety kotis of Buddhas, which is a summary statement. Therefore, the reality of Dharma is the teaching combined with skillful means. It is said for this reason that the reality of Dharma is emptiness. Skillful means refers to generosity and other perfections. This reality of Dharma combined with skillful means is what all Buddhas have taught, are teaching, and will teach. As for the Jataka tales and so on, what all Buddhas teach is not necessarily pure. Therefore, one should strive diligently and practice well from them. By practicing this scripture, one can correctly realize the Dharma of emptiness, and practicing generosity and so on is practice. Alternatively, holding and so on will increase merit. Practice means to pursue, or holding, thinking, meditating, and teaching others, etc., increase merit, and because these are not inverted, they are practice. Alternatively, rejoicing is also practice. To eliminate the idea that they are not other Buddhas, their names are mentioned. To eliminate the idea that they arose naturally from any of the ninety kotis of Buddhas, names such as Jewel Glory Majesty King are mentioned. Mentioning the name, therefore, the Teacher's dwelling is shown to be for the benefit of the world. Just as even when the time of complete Nirvana has been measured, the Bhagavan still dwells until that time, because that prince needs to be tamed. Therefore, these show that the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, will dwell for an infinite time solely for the benefit of the world. Diligent in discipline, diligent and for the benefit of others.

Through reliance, one can attain the dharani, which is taught through words such as "going forth." Because the basis of all virtues is discipline, one who possesses discipline will attain this dharani, not others. Thus, the Blessed One taught through the words of "going forth." These indicate that one should diligently strive to attain it through hearing. By initiating diligence, one will attain this dharani, not otherwise, as taught by "ninety thousand years," etc. This indicates the attainment. One with the intention to accomplish the benefit of others will attain this dharani, not otherwise, as taught by "even after practice," etc. This indicates the fruit of attainment, and it should be held as such. If not, the teachings of "going forth," etc., would become meaningless. Among these, the fruit of attainment is taught in two aspects: truly excellent teaching and the fruit of truly excellent teaching. Truly excellent teaching also has three aspects: truly giving, expanding, and one's own nature. Truly giving is for all sentient beings. They should also hold that truly excellent teaching of dharani is solely for taming, because the word "all" is used to express the intention to speak while retaining the thought. It is not solely for all sentient beings, because they are not omniscient and therefore cannot perform truly excellent teaching. Although the omniscient one teaches it, it is impossible for all sentient beings to become the object, as it is unnecessary and unreasonable. "Expanding" refers to the nature of the dharani's practice, attainment, fruit, and the distinctions of small, medium, and great qualities, etc., because it possesses measure. It is excellent through words that are truly non-inverted and possess the ten qualities of palace retinue language, etc., and through teaching that subdues others. The fruit of truly excellent teaching is to establish one on the irreversible ground. This is taught as an exceedingly special fruit. Being born as gods and humans, and obtaining lands, etc.

Other fruits are not mentioned because they will be achieved. Because there are non-returning grounds in the Bodhi of Hearers and others, the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment is mentioned. Because there are also non-returning grounds in the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, non-returning is mentioned. This shows that obtaining Dharani is a continuous and related meaning. Therefore, after that, it is said, "Shariputra, that retinue," and so on. No matter how hard one strives, obtaining Dharani is continuously related, and whatever it is, one will definitely obtain this Dharani. Those who have not obtained it, it is shown that it is due to their own faults and so on. Showing the rejoicing is: retinue, relationship, lineage, name, spiritual friend, relationship, rejoicing. There are nine fruits of showing rejoicing: obtaining the correct spiritual friend, hearing the Dharma from that, practicing it, the best of those who obtain Dharani, the best of those who have the words to hold, the best of the uninterrupted fearlessness, the time to please them, pleasing them, and manifesting the unsurpassed Bodhi. Among them, the word "Sutra" is immediately, or it happens all at once. The meaning of "Sutra of Rejoicing" is that the word "Sutra" mentioned here refers to what happens immediately. For example, in the Maitreya Sutra, it says, "The born one cultivates the mindfulness of the Bodhi limb," and here it is also immediately after rejoicing. The born one is a synonym for "obtained." Or it refers to what happens all at once, such as "Bring it together with the wheel," and so on. The arising from the moment of rejoicing is obtaining, which is a synonym for "appearing." The words "ninety," and so on, refer to other times. Whatever the word "ninety" is, it refers to speaking with consideration for other times. Immediately obtaining such a fruit from the root of virtue arising only from the Sutra of Rejoicing is not
