The terrifying sound is frightening, and so are the earth spirits and landowners. There are also many gatherings of accomplished ones and yogis, gatherings that are eager to feast on corpses, and those who meditate desiring accomplishments are all the same. Yakshas and flesh-eaters, birds and gatherings of yogis proclaim the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) and Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ), and proclaim the sounds of hi hi and ha ha, and kīli kīli. In the terrifying cool grove of the charnel ground, the spirits dwell. Then, to the east of the great cool grove of the charnel ground, there is a yojana, the great city of Nālandā. Two yojanas to the south of it is the spacious city. Two and a half yojanas to the west of it is the city of Kaliṅga. To the north of it, one yojana away, is Vulture Peak, located in Rājagṛha. Vulture Peak and Rājagṛha are one krosha apart. Similarly, there are villages and towns, cities and regions, and many other places. On whose side does the great fool reside? It means that he is arrogant and only competes with the Shravakas, thinking that I am also a son of the perfectly enlightened Buddha, so he does not listen to the Dharma, nor does he make requests to the Bhagavan. With his self-righteous arrogance, he thinks, "I must attain Arhatship," and goes to the cool grove of the charnel ground. There, like this, thinking, "I will meditate," he sits down, and is harmed by the fierce spirits. The demons of the gods and the demons of the asuras, etc., mean that wherever the gods and sages dwell, all of them are unpleasant, listening with fearful minds, millions of gods, Millions of gods, the goddess of great fortune, the weaver Sudarshana and Rahu, millions of asuras, hundreds of millions of asuras, those daughters with magical powers, transforming into various forms, and likewise uttering various sounds. The youth sits at the end of the sound, being harmed and committing evil. The demons of the gods and the demons of the asuras also do not allow them to sit and show violence. The demons of the nāgas and the yakshas.
