And possessing the power to subdue the four maras, unblemished by habitual tendencies and obscurations of knowledge, having conquered the five poisons, and even without the name of samsara, I pay homage and prostrate to the Buddha who possesses suchness. O Gautama, what you know, the gods do not know. This means that the eighty-four thousand collections of teachings are kept in mind for the benefit of sentient beings, pervading the three thousand great thousand worlds in an instant, and teaching each sentient being with different views their own dharma. Such a Buddha is not known by the world. Again, two or three times, the four great kings praised the Bhagavan with verses. The first offering is the Dharmakaya, the non-dual body, offered to the mind of the Bhagavan. The second is the nature of illusion, which is the Sambhogakaya, offered to the speech of the Bhagavan. For the benefit of sentient beings, possessing the nature of miraculous and wondrous transformations, the Nirmāṇakāya pervades the three thousand worlds in an instant, which is the praise of the body of the Bhagavan. O wise one of the world, perfect Buddha, great hero, I pay homage to you. This means that the city of Kapilavastu's base city is surrounded by seven layers of walls and seven layers of moats, and the city gates are made of iron, and the gates are hung with bells that have a very clear sound, and the sound of opening the gates can be heard for one yojana around. The great king Śuddhodana exists, and the Bodhisattva descends from Tushita into the womb of Maya, and after being born, renounces the world, and in the center of Magadha, attains perfect enlightenment on the Vajra Throne. Having conquered the gods and maras, and being free from all conceptualizations, the son of the Shakyas becomes a Buddha in such a nature, and the perfectly enlightened Shakya Lion, born into the Gautama lineage, I prostrate, praise, and pay homage. O Gautama, what you know, the gods do not know. This means that what the perfectly enlightened Shakyamuni knows, what can the gods say?

Like the earth, like treasures existing in the ocean. The Four Great Kings and others praised the Blessed One. "Then" refers to "then" after the Four Great Kings praised. "Blessed One, the Four Great Kings reported thus" means: stating before the Blessed One. "Venerable Blessed One, is the country peaceful? Is life prosperous?" means: are the fourfold disciples of the Blessed One also at peace? "Venerable Blessed One, is your body healthy? Do you have no illnesses? Is there no terror?" means: have the four maras not interfered? Have the three poisons of the world not arisen? "Blessed One's body, is there no harm?" means: have the fierce spirits of the four maras not created obstacles to the Dharma? "Blessed One, Yakshas, etc." refers to those who create obstacles to the Dharma and cause harm to sentient beings, those who make people unhappy, and those who cause the body to suffer intense pain. Harming sentient beings in the womb means: entering the human body and preventing the formation of both the fresh and the soft, and even if they are formed, they will die from intense pain, or become stillborn, or die after birth, and if they cannot do that, they will inflict harm when they find an opportunity. They also steal glory when entering the womb, and make groups of men and women feel fear. Grasping the small means residing on hundreds of thousands of hair tips. The large is larger than Mount Sumeru, and if power is exerted, Mount Sumeru will also shake. When walking, the three realms are traversed in an instant. It means, have such spirits not caused harm? "Severe epidemics, etc." refers to arising from the four hundred and eight diseases, meaning are there also no such diseases? "Humans and non-humans harboring hostility," etc. refers to: thieves, barbarians, and kings, etc. Humans and non-humans refer to fierce and sinful types who harm sentient beings. It means, have those also not caused harm?

Did (you) do (it)?' This is how it is said. 'Thus spoke' means that the four kings inquired about the Blessed One's health. 'The Blessed One spoke thus to the four great kings' means that the Blessed One's inquiry about the four great kings' health was a reply. 'O great kings, I have everything,' is like the ocean, in which there are various kinds of inexhaustible jewels, and so am I. The land is also prosperous, life is also abundant, the body is also comfortable, there is no disease, and there is no fear. Obviously, the retinue is also perfect. First, the skandha-mara is conquered. Second, the klesha-mara. Similarly, the third is the conquering of the death-mara, and the fourth is the conquering of the deva-putra-mara. Therefore, it is called fearless. 'O great kings, there is no harm to my body,' means what need is there to say about the vajra-kaya nature body? Moreover, even the blessings of the Buddhas cannot be destroyed. 'O great kings, you are the world with the gods,' and so on, means that even those who want to harm the Buddhas have not found an opportunity to harm them, and the harms are not visible. If distrust arises in the minds of others, this world will suffer severe pain, and after death, like an arrow, they will go to hell. From hell, they will not be able to escape from the lower realms, and the time of liberation will not come. Therefore, do not harm the Sugata-guru, the kleshas, and so on, and the parents, and so on. Therefore, thinking of harming is not seeing correctly. 'O great kings, even so, your retinue thinks of harming my retinue,' means that because of the vision of the Fully Enlightened Buddha, those evil harms think of harming. As soon as that thought arises, the Fully Enlightened Buddha speaks from his mouth, and this is the blessing of samadhi. 'Thus spoke' means that the Blessed One spoke to the four great kings.
