That which is said by the Buddha Bhagavan, as numerous as the sands of ninety-one Ganges rivers, refers to the invincible queen of vidya-mantras. This cool grove destroys all transgressions. The Buddhas who have perfectly completed the path to enlightenment have inconceivable realms and are devoid of self-nature. That which is said, and will be said, means that the Buddhas of the past have also spoken it, the Buddhas of the future will also speak it, and similarly, the Buddhas who are presently abiding are also speaking it. I prostrate and rejoice, may the fruit be attained through this path. The most supreme of attainments, the invincible, refers to common accomplishments. The so-called common accomplishments can also be achieved, and so are the uncommon ones. Common accomplishments include walking on the earth in this world, moving in the sky, and moving beneath the earth. There are also subtle accomplishments such as pacifying, increasing, empowering, and subduing, among others. Uncommon accomplishments mean that walking on the earth, etc., are equal, like pervading the realms of the sky and the world, abandoning samsara, neither existing nor past, nor even existing now. Because of attaining that accomplishment, it is the most supreme accomplishment. Invincible by others means not being overcome by the suffering of samsara, and similarly, not being overcome by demons and the like. Praised by gods, nagas, gandharvas, yakshas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, etc., means to always rejoice in this vidya-mantra, to make offerings and not to transgress the command of the queen of vidya-mantras. Completely embraced by all the hosts of bhutas means that even those who have the mind to inflict harm, having the protection of the vidya-mantra, will then abide by its side, and those will also be protected. Always the bhutas prostrate and rejoice. May I and all sentient beings be well and auspicious from all harm, means that the venerable youth Rahula also held and wore this vidya-mantra on his body, remembering and reciting it.

It has been done. It has been meditated upon. Having donned the armor of the vidyā-mantra that cannot be overcome by others, and having cast aside the five poisons such as ignorance, in order to accomplish the fruit of an arhat, one went to the terrifying place of the cool grove charnel ground. May all sentient beings also rejoice and protect. May you become free from illness and fear. That is, the demons of the gods, the demons of the asuras, the demons of the nāgas, the demons of the yakshas, the demons of the rākshasas, the demons of the humans and non-humans, the demons of the great garudas, the demons of the gandharvas, the demons of the non-humans, the demons of the wind gods, the demons of the pretas, the demons of the bhūtas, the demons of the flesh-eaters, the demons of the kumbhāṇḍas, the leopards, the crows, the owls, the ants, the scorpions, the poisonous snakes, and also other human and non-human beings, also respectfully prostrate and make offerings to the venerable Śrāmaṇera. The venerable young Śrāmaṇera has also attained the arhat, the perfectly enlightened one, having exhausted the defilements, possessing magical powers, and being able to display miracles. Auspicious, may all sentient beings enter the path of enlightenment. By the queen of vidyā-mantras, Cool Grove, the third section, the time of subduing the demons of the young Śrāmaṇera. The first chapter of the essence of vidyā-mantras is complete. Then, the four great kings, Evil Body, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Virūpākṣa, and Vaiśravaṇa, together with their sons, that is, twenty-eight thousand yaksha kings, twenty-eight thousand gandharva kings, twenty-eight thousand kumbhāṇḍa kings, and twenty-eight thousand nāga kings, likewise also together with their sons. Together with ministers, together with retinues, together with messengers, together with envoys, together with attendants, that is, twenty-eight thousand yakshas, gandharvas, kumbhāṇḍas, and nāgas, together, likewise also together with wives, sons and daughters, grandsons and great-grandsons, and so forth.

If not yet separated, then arrived. Agreed to abide in the great charnel ground Cool Grove, named: The Blessed One also from Vulture Peak Mountain, for the benefit of sentient beings, together with the fourfold retinue, entered and dwelt in the terrifying Cool Grove. Then the four great kings and their retinues also, each with their own splendor, power, color, strength, and magical abilities, faced the Cool Grove charnel ground. The so-called "emitting great light with the color and power of their own nature" means: not the color of others, but the color of the splendor and power of the nature of each of the four great kings and their retinues. The so-called "wherever the Blessed One is, going there" refers to: in the place where Bodhisattvas, Hearers, Bhikshus, Bhikshunis, male lay practitioners, female lay practitioners, gods, humans, and many retinues gather, in front of the Blessed One. The so-called "bowing to the feet of the Blessed One with their heads, circumambulating three times, and joining their palms" means: the four great kings and those retinues together, respectfully honored the Blessed One, and each offered flowers, incense, and so on. The so-called "only paying homage to the Blessed One and abiding in one place" means: with body, speech, and mind, respectfully honoring the Blessed One, bowing again and again, they also all dwelled together in one place. The so-called "after dwelling in one place, the four great kings praised the Blessed One with verses" means: they also honored the Blessed One in unison. "Worldly wise, perfect Buddha, Great Hero, I prostrate before you" means: the Dharmakaya, which is inseparable from the nature of Dharma and devoid of self-nature, and the Sambhogakaya, which appears like an illusion, like an image in a mirror, possessing the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks, for the benefit of sentient beings, the Nirmanakaya pervading the three thousand great thousand worlds, that Nirmanakaya is also brave.
