Infections of measles and smallpox, by the curse of vidyā-mantras, sentient beings will be born in hell. The words of the vidyā-mantra should be recited repeatedly and warded off. That is, reciting Bisa-rata and so on. The meaning of what the Buddha, compassionate to the world, has spoken is: from the mouths of the Buddhas, a snake form, one face and two arms, body color red, wrathful mother with three eyes, yellow hair blazing upwards, mouth open, fangs bared, limbs adorned with snakes, left leg extended, right leg bent, suppressing the fierce nāga race. In the right hand, holding a lotus staff, in the left, holding a hook and threatening mudra, destroying all harm, symbolizing the wisdom of individual discernment, what is symbolized is the vidyā-mantra. Possessing the nature of the fire element, power acting on the tongue. Possessing the nature of the five wisdoms, pervading all like the sky. The words of the vidyā-mantra are Muñca-ta and so on. The meaning of 'Plague disease, go away!' is: expelling the malevolent demons and spirits, and the diseases mentioned above, the curse of the vidyā-mantra cannot stay, expelling harmful things. The verse of expulsion is: Nirghacca-ta and so on. The meaning of 'Buddha, great god, god of gods, the guru has passed away' is: Buddha, the great god, is what Shakyamuni Buddha said, the mother of vidyā-mantras, the holder of secret mantras, plague diseases and so on cannot invade, moreover, evildoers, those with malicious minds, those with hateful minds, those with violent minds, and those who take the lives of others, harmful spirits and all diseases can be destroyed. The assembly of great gods is the assembly of spirits, because they can bring benefit and harm, therefore, they go by the glory of the mother of vidyā-mantras. What is harmful? That is, in the retinue of the great god, the lord of obstacles, the king of the assembly of spirits, dwelling at the border of the powerful one. Not giving support, harming from the mother's womb, these are.
