They are in the attire of gandharvas, seated upon snake crests and snake knots. They do not transgress the command of the vidya mantras and benefit sentient beings. It is so. Brahmin caste, sentient beings' poison, those who walk at night. The snake's crown dwells in nines and nines, the color red dwells, the left noose is also red. Those dragon kings, and also those who in this earth circle, roar thunder from time to time, ripen crops from time to time, rain from time to time, accomplish crops from time to time, see the Buddha, uphold the precepts, take refuge in the three, and are liberated from the fear of Garuda, the fear of fire and sand, and the fear of the king's actions. The earth-holder dwells in a great palace of jewels, the long-lived one dwells for an eon, renowned for great power, great miraculous power, great enjoyment, mostly surrounded by retinues, utterly destroying enemy armies, possessing miraculous power, possessing light, possessing color, possessing fame, and also experiencing the battles of gods and non-gods. Those dragon kings are with wives, with sons, with grandsons, with brothers, with ministers, with merchants, with messengers, with envoys, with servants, with retinues. Those dragon kings dwell in the southeast direction. Dragon King Dhritarashtra and Dragon King Arya-utpala and Dragon King Good-looking Eyes and Dragon King Vaishravana's Son and Dragon King Horse-face, are protectors of the Buddha's teachings, those who take refuge in the Three Jewels. Their body colors and hand symbols are white, blue, red, green, and yellow. Those on the right are lutes, staffs, conches, vases, and swords. Those on the left are snake-ropes. They dwell in the attire of gods, with snake crowns on their heads, dwelling on top of snake knots, not transgressing the command of the knowledge-mantras, doing the benefit of sentient beings. Dragon King Campaka-born and Dragon King Gautama and Dragon King Five-taker and Dragon King Five-crests and Dragon King Mara, are protectors of the Buddha's teachings, those who take refuge in the Three Jewels, their body colors and hand symbols are white-yellow.
