The head of, named the Dragon King Horse-headed one, protects the Buddha's teachings, takes refuge in the Three Jewels. Their body colors and hand symbols are: blue, yellow, red, white, green, and black. In their right hands, they hold a wheel, a wish-fulfilling jewel, a white lotus, a sword, a vajra, and various colored silks. In their left hands, they hold a snake lasso. They do not transgress the commands of the wisdom mantras, and they work for the benefit of sentient beings. They have poisonous eyes, are of royal lineage, travel at midday, have snake ornaments, and sit on snakes. Those snakes also have thirteen heads each, and the color of the snakes is yellow. The snake held in the left hand is also yellow. Twenty-one Dragon Kings reside in the southern direction. Those Dragon Kings, and all others in the center of this earth, at times roar like thunder, at times ripen crops, at times send down rain, at times accomplish harvests, see the Buddha, take vows, take refuge in the Three Jewels, are free from the fear of Garuda, are free from the fear of fire and sand, are liberated from the fear of the king's actions, hold the earth, reside in great jeweled palaces, are long-lived, abide for kalpas, are famous for their power, have great magical abilities, have great enjoyment, have many retinues, utterly destroy enemy armies, possess magical abilities, possess radiance, possess color, possess fame, possess great magical abilities, and also experience battles between gods and asuras. Those Naga kings are with their wives and sons, with their grandsons, with their siblings, with their ministers, with their helmsmen, with their messengers, with their envoys, with their servants, and with their retinues, those who reside in the west.
