The signs inflicted by those retinues are: turning outwards and becoming terrifying. They will speak and become angry. Likewise, they will also sleep. Or they will become very angry. They always look upwards. They will strive for the stars. At night they will be very happy. They always tremble and also make sounds. The nature of the yakshas is also like that. The so-called allowing the exercise of power over the yakshas and abiding is, exercising authority over the hundreds of thousands of yakshas who abide. Protecting the north. The one who protects and completely protects the north is also, the bodhisattva who has attained the first ground, protecting the northern realm of the world.
