The three sons are affliction, karma, and life, which are: The first eight and nine are afflictions, the second ten is karma, and the rest are the afflictions of birth. As it is said, the first is ignorance, the eighth is craving, and the ninth is grasping, these three are afflictions. The second is action, and the tenth is existence, these two are karma. The rest, consciousness, name and form, six sense sources, contact, feeling, birth, old age, and death, these seven are life, also called suffering. Among them, from the first three arise the middle two, and from those two arise the last seven, therefore there is no beginning and no end, and it revolves without interruption. Therefore, ignorance and action are past afflictions and karma, and are the cause of the present. Consciousness, name and form, six sense sources, contact, and feeling are the fruit of the present. Craving, grasping, and existence are present afflictions and karma, and are the cause of the future. Birth and old age and death are the fruit of the future. Or it can be divided into three parts: the all-pervasive affliction of cause, the all-pervasive affliction of karma, and the all-pervasive affliction of fruit. Among them, the first three, the all-pervasive affliction of affliction, is the cause of close grasping, and the all-pervasive affliction of karma is the condition of acting together. The all-pervasive affliction of fruit is the seven limbs, which are the nature of the all-pervasive affliction of birth. Or, the differentiated fruit of the seven causes is also seven: the cause of inversion and so on is ignorance. The cause of non-outflow is action. Alaya consciousness is the place where the habits of karma are repeatedly placed. The cause of existence is consciousness, because it connects itself, or leads to a dwelling place. The cause of grasping is name and form and the six sense sources. The cause of intimacy is contact and feeling. The cause of gathering is existence, grasping, and craving. The cause of gathering is birth and old age and death. The turning of the wheel of Dharma with twelve aspects, etc., is dividing the Four Truths into sixteen kinds of Dharma, turning the wheel of Dharma four times three twelve times, as it is said.

From the truth of suffering are divided three: impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, these three are condensed into one. In the truth of origination, there are three: cause, origination, arising, and the aspect of conditions, condensed into one. In the truth of cessation, there are four: cessation, peace, excellence, and definite liberation, condensed into one. In the truth of the path, there are path, reason, practice, and definite liberation, condensed into one. Thus, according to each individual's capacity, the distinctions divided from the four truths, the wheel of Dharma is turned in twelve branches. Regarding the "sixteen aspects of mindfulness of breathing in and breathing out": When mindful and the breath goes in, one fully knows that one is mindful and the breath goes in. When mindful and the breath goes out, one fully knows that one is mindful and the breath goes out. When the breath goes in long, one fully knows that the breath goes in long. When the breath goes out long, one fully knows that the breath goes out long. When the breath goes in short, one fully knows that the breath goes in short. When the breath goes out short, one fully knows that the breath goes out short. For example, a wheel turner or a skilled craftsman of a wheel, when turning long, fully knows that it is turning long. When turning short, fully knows that it is turning short. Mindfulness of the Buddha, mindfulness of the Dharma, mindfulness of the Sangha, mindfulness of discipline, mindfulness of generosity, mindfulness of deities, mindfulness of birth, mindfulness of breathing in and out, mindfulness of death, mindfulness of patience, mindfulness of diligence, mindfulness of meditation, mindfulness of wisdom, and mindfulness of skillful means and wisdom. Regarding the "eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha": The Tathagata has no confusion, no clamor, no decay of things, no various distractions, no mind that is not in equanimity, no abandonment without examination, no

There is no falling away. There is no falling away from complete diligence. There is no falling away from complete meditation. There is no falling away from complete samadhi. There is no falling away from complete wisdom. There is no falling away from complete liberation. The wisdom of complete liberation, completely seeing, does not fall away. All activities of the body are preceded by wisdom, that is, they follow wisdom. All activities of speech are preceded by wisdom, that is, they follow wisdom. All activities of mind are preceded by wisdom, that is, they follow wisdom. He enters into the wisdom that sees without attachment or hindrance in the past time. He enters into the wisdom that sees without attachment or hindrance in the future time. He enters into the wisdom that sees without attachment or hindrance in the present time. Strengths and fearlessness, and so on. The so-called forty-two letters are selected and taught in this way from others. Son of good family, come here! Be skilled in the realization of letters. Be skilled in one letter. Be skilled in two letters up to forty-two letters. Know all the nature purified by one letter. Know all the nature purified by two letters, know all the nature purified by forty-two letters. Meditate on the forty-two letters merging into one letter. Meditate on one letter merging into forty-two letters, thus it is taught. That Bodhisattva Mahasattva is also skilled in one letter. He is skilled in between forty-two letters. He is skilled in meditating on the forty-two letters merging into one letter. He is skilled in meditating on one letter merging into forty-two letters. Thus, one should strive to be skilled in the realization of letters, and be skilled in the realization of non-letters. For example, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha is skilled in the Dharma and skilled in letters, He is skilled in the Dharma and skilled in letters, so he teaches the Dharma without letters with many letters, but that Dharma is the form of letters.
