The two are branches of affliction. Joy and happiness are branches of benefit. Single-pointedness of mind is a branch of both. The second dhyana is explained as four branches, encompassing all branches. Inner purity is a branch of antidote. Feeling joy and happiness is a branch of benefit. Single-pointedness of mind is a branch of both abodes. The third dhyana has five branches: equanimity, mindfulness, and clear knowing are three antidotes. Feeling happiness is a benefit. Single-pointedness of mind is a branch of both abodes. The fourth also has five branches, explained as four. Completely pure equanimity, completely pure mindfulness, and neither happiness nor suffering. Completely pure clear knowing is a branch of antidote feeling and benefit. Single-pointedness of mind is a branch of both abodes. The so-called Four Noble Truths are: whoever sees all formations as unborn, he fully understands suffering. Whoever sees all dharmas as unoriginated, he completely abandons the origin. Whoever sees all dharmas as having passed into nirvana, he realizes cessation. Whoever sees all dharmas as without substance, he cultivates the path. The so-called five faculties are: the faculty of faith, which is to have genuine faith in actions, results, truths, and the jewels, and to truly believe that this is the faculty of faith. The faculty of diligence is to definitely engage in that activity. The faculty of mindfulness is to have unfailing mindfulness, so that there is no opportunity for ignorance. The faculty of samadhi is single-pointedness of mind, so that it has power. The faculty of wisdom is to distinguish between what to accept and what to reject. The so-called five powers are: the explanation of the power of faith, etc., is to place the five faculties at the ultimate extreme. They are also called the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of samadhi, and the power of wisdom.

Recollecting the Buddha. The seven branches of enlightenment are: With the branch of enlightenment of discriminating Dharma, at the first ground, just as placing a haritaki fruit in the palm of one's hand, one directly realizes that the realm of Dharma is unborn, and its own nature manifests. With the right mindfulness enlightenment branch, one does not forget where one realized the self-characteristic and general characteristic of the Dharma. With the right effort enlightenment branch, one enters without hindrance into my complete and perfect enlightenment, or makes virtue increase more and more. The right ease enlightenment branch is the basis for eliminating afflictions. Among them, the ease of body is that the body is as light as a cotton petal, and it feels comfortable to the touch, and so on. The ease of mind is to focus on the object, and to have the direct knowledge of magical wisdom. The right samadhi enlightenment branch is the branch of the place to eliminate afflictions, because by dwelling in samadhi, one can transform the evil realms into good realms. Right equanimity is the branch of self-nature. Although afflictions do not actually arise, there is no purity either, because there is no effort to counteract them. With right joy, because one sees the meaning of the non-self of Dharma, the joy of the body and the happiness of the mind arise, which is the branch of benefit. The so-called eightfold noble path branch is: Right view is to decide the meaning of equanimity with post-meditation wisdom. Right thought is the power to generate intention, just as the color has been well washed. Right speech is to trust in the view, and to generate trust through speaking and talking. Right livelihood is the boundary of karma, that is, to have faith in the complete purity of discipline, because body, speech, and mind are all led by wisdom and are held by wisdom. The so-called gradual abiding samadhi means: Here, away from desire, away from sinful and unwholesome dharmas, with investigation and analysis, joy and happiness arise from remoteness, and one abides in the first dhyana. After that, investigation and analysis are pacified, and the mind is completely...
