That which is called "earth" is without obstruction, and cannot be entered by demons; liberation is attained through this path, appearing as emptiness of non-objective wisdom. What is the seal of the Buddhas of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River? It refers to the secret mantra words of the Great Destroyer Mother spoken in the past, future, and present. What is meant by "Thus he entreated" is that Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world, asked the Bhagavan. What is meant by "The Bhagavan spoke thus to Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world" is that the emanation body, endowed with the thirty-two marks and adorned with the eighty minor marks, spoke. Brahma, therefore listen well and keep it in mind, and I will tell you, refers to the Buddha speaking for the benefit of sentient beings, the secret mantra that has the nature of going to the other shore and destroys all suffering. What is meant by "Venerable Bhagavan, having understood thus, he entreated" is that Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world, also respectfully entreated the Bhagavan. What is meant by "Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world, listened to the words of the Bhagavan" is that the fourfold assembly and the hosts of humans and non-humans, headed by Brahma, were subdued. What is meant by "To this, the Bhagavan spoke thus" is that he showed the lineage and marks of the Tathagata, the marks being the Bhagavan Vairochana. Its symbol is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. The body color is white, with four faces, the right face blue, the back face red-yellow, the left face green, and possessing three eyes. The head is adorned with the five families. With eight hands, on the right are the wheel, sword, vajra, and trident. What is held in the left hand is a vajra on top of a vase, wish-fulfilling jewel, noose, and iron hook. Thus, understanding and remembering in the body, etc., are the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. Shamatha and vipassana are called means and wisdom, respectively. Meditating on the form of a deity is a means. Reciting mantras and meditating on emptiness is wisdom. Therefore, means and wisdom are united. What are the three samadhis? They are the three doors of liberation. The samadhi of emptiness is the aspect of emptiness. Focusing the mind one-pointedly on the aspect of tranquility is called the samadhi of emptiness. The signless samadhi is focusing the mind one-pointedly on the aspect of tranquility and the aspect of signlessness. This is called the signless samadhi. What is the wishless samadhi? It is focusing the mind one-pointedly on the aspect of impermanence and the aspect of suffering. This is called the wishless samadhi. The four legs of miraculous power refer to the leg of miraculous power that possesses the effort of abandoning the samadhi of aspiration, the leg of miraculous power that possesses the effort of abandoning the samadhi of mind, the leg of miraculous power that possesses the effort of abandoning the samadhi of diligence, and the leg of miraculous power that possesses the effort of abandoning the samadhi of contemplation. The four right abandonments refer to generating aspiration in order to prevent the arising of unwholesome and non-virtuous dharmas that have not yet arisen, generating aspiration in order to abandon those that have already arisen, generating aspiration and exerting effort in order to generate virtuous dharmas that have not yet arisen, and generating aspiration in order to increase, greatly expand, and perfect the cultivation of those that have already arisen. The four mindfulnesses refer to: mindfulness of the body, which is meditating on the various bodies that are aggregates of limbs, contemplating that grasping and what is grasped are empty and unattainable; feeling, which is meditating on the fact that there is neither coming nor going, and that both are unattainable; mind, which is meditating on the fact that it is merely a name and unattainable; and dharmas, which is meditating on the fact that dharmas are unattainable in dharmas. This is in terms of the Mahayana. The four dhyanas refer to the fact that from the first dhyana onwards, there are five branches, namely, conception and discernment.
