Perfected diligence is complete; these six are called complete. "Powerful" refers to the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu's essence. Among the two realms, the pure and the impure, the impure realm is the nature of individual births. Meditating on it gives power to generate common and uncommon qualities, hence it is called "powerful." The pure realm is like a wealthy person having power over possessions; the qualities inherent in the Tathagatagarbha can be freely employed, hence it is called "powerful." "Excellent form" refers to mirror-like wisdom, where the name of the result is applied to the cause, hence it is called "excellent form." "Excellent form" means that the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks manifest the Buddha's body as desired by sentient beings. Some see the Tathagata as blue, others as yellow. Appearing in whatever way is appropriate for taming beings arises from the power of mirror-like wisdom, hence it is called "excellent form." The reason for calling it "excellent form" is to make sentient beings understand that the appearance of the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks arises from the power of mirror-like wisdom. "Glory and fame" refer to the transformed afflicted mind, which is equality wisdom. When a Bodhisattva sees the first ground and realizes that all phenomena are without self, they attain the wisdom of equality towards themselves and all sentient beings. Just as they desire to be free from suffering and seek happiness, they alleviate the suffering of all sentient beings and lead them to happiness. Therefore, it is the cause of generating happiness and benefit, hence it is called "glory." Because they make self and others equal, there is no one like this in the world, so great praise and perfect fame arise in the ten directions, hence it is called "fame." The name of the result is applied to the cause. "Wisdom" refers to discriminating wisdom. "Perfected diligence is complete" refers to accomplishing activity wisdom, in the world.

In all realms, immeasurable and inconceivable emanations benefit sentient beings. Therefore, it is like the fire of the great northern plain. Thus it is said. Because it possesses those six qualities. "Passed away" means that with great Nirvana, one transcends samsara and sorrow, not abiding in Nirvana, having comprehended the Dharmakaya, and with great compassion clinging to sentient beings, one does not pass into Nirvana without remainder. With great wisdom, one benefits sentient beings, and although dwelling in samsara, one is not tainted by its faults, just as a lotus dwells in the mud but is not tainted by it. Although both of these exist, if there is a particularly excellent place, if there is no speech, then it is not spoken, so that is the cause of it. If one asks where it was heard, it is said, "Dwelling on the Vajra seat." Thus it is said. Then, the place is the Vajra seat under the Bodhi tree. Although all three of these exist, if there is no suitable vessel for explaining the tantra, then it is not spoken. If there is, then it is spoken, so that is the cause of it. If one asks with whom it was heard, it is said, "I heard it." The retinue includes Vajrapani and others who were present at the time of subduing the demons, the Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, and the eight classes of gods, nagas, yakshas, etc. Although all four of these exist, if there is no perfect Dharma, good in the beginning, good in the middle, good in the end, good in meaning, good in words, unmixed, completely pure, completely purified, completely perfect, clear, celibate, etc., then it is spoken. If there is not, then it is not spoken, so that is the cause of it. The necessity of explaining the basis of discussion is for the sake of future people being able to enter. The cause of the arising of the tantra, the perfect basis of discussion, and the conditions that can induce the basis of discussion have all been explained. Now, the actual tantra is shown, which has four aspects: the explanation of how to generate oneself as the deity with the six-limbed preliminary rituals of the two types of approach and accomplishment; the explanation of the disciples for whom the approach and accomplishment are to be done; the explanation that the Bhagavan is pleased with the Samadhi of abiding in sound, which is supreme during the approach, so the Samadhi of abiding in sound should be practiced; and the number of recitations of the characteristics of the vase during the accomplishment.
