Ra. Abide in equanimity. If the mind abides in equanimity, then one knows reality as it is. Having seen reality as it is, one abandons the afflictions separately, thus it is taught. By the power of equanimity, the limb of perfect enlightenment, look at the tip of the nose and abandon conceptual thoughts. When it moves, it does not waver. At that time, one obtains the abiding on the object. The mind is definitely workable. It is said. It is also said to possess equanimity. This is because it is the antidote to the mind that is in accordance with all afflictions, the mind that does not degenerate, the mind that does not enter properly, and the mind that is with effort, therefore it is the nature of being without all afflictions. Here are the verses: The limb of nature, the limb of place, the third is the limb arising from that, the fourth is the limb of benefit, the three limbs without affliction. Here, the basis, the place, and the nature are taught. Whatever path is seen by the limb of enlightenment, having meditated on obtaining that path, the path of meditation is taught below the path of seeing, which is the eight limbs of the path. The Buddha spoke of these eight limbs of the path: right livelihood, and the limit of action, good concentration, effort, and thought, mindfulness, and views, each and every one should be properly cultivated. It is said. Since one does not know one's own nature by merely uttering the name, it is shown one by one. Therein, by the power of right view, even if afraid, one does not prostrate to gods such as Brahma, Indra, Vishnu, and fierce wind. One does not rely on the Dharma spoken by them, one does not practice their austerities, one does not worship signs. One does not have ill will towards their Dharma, and one never rejoices in their conduct. One does not recite their praises, one does not recite mantras. When giving alms, one gives with compassion. One prostrates to the places and bodhisattvas that all Sugatas rely on. Self-Buddhas and the Shravakas of the Victorious Ones, they are always the objects of prostration. Thus, on the first day of the month, people prostrate, but do not prostrate to the full moon. Likewise, with faith, one should prostrate to the sons of the Victorious One, but not to the Sugata. Having the discipline of all the high attainments of the world, being the nature of compassion, for the sake of beings.

Why take birth? Why do all not revere the only son? The born sage, inconceivable, Possessing wondrous miracles. Which evil person does not bow to him? All victors hold compassion in their hearts, Granting him secret mantras and attainments. Like the first flower of a tree, Pleasing, later becoming its fruit. View sentient beings, the supreme ones, as flowers, Recognize the victors as fruits. Although its nature is free from attachment and aversion, Yet for the sake of taming beings, showing anger to the angry, Showing attachment to those with desire. I prostrate to the one abiding in the supreme state of Bodhi! By the power of knowing karma and its ripening, How it accords with all beings, Following the form of secret mantras, I prostrate to the guide of mantras! This is the cause of right view, Here, cause is metaphorically attributed to effect, establishing it as right view. Furthermore, Therefore, abandon wrong views, And rely on right view. Thus it is said, this is what is realized by the path of seeing, Indicating that one has realized in this way. In the freedom of right thought, The characteristics of women, the characteristics of men, Diagnosing medicine, elephants, or astrology, The examination of weapons or the art of horse judging, self-made things, Studying and reading evil treatises, Thus it is said, here only briefly mentioning the unfavorable aspects, In reality, purify everything with right thought, For the sake of not speaking without examination or discrimination, The purity arising from right thought is a branch that makes others understand. In the freedom of right speech, Talk of countries, relying on those in power, Talk of war, heroes, and youth, Talk of stories and legends, and past history, Talk of desire and prostitutes should not be spoken. Thus it is said, here only mentioning the unfavorable aspects, In reality, when refuting others and raising questions, With definite words related to the argument, Others will be convinced that one has realized the true nature, thereby generating faith in wisdom. In the ultimate freedom of right action, Never praise oneself, Nor disparage other beings.
