It is said: Other kinds should also recognize their respective main deities when appropriate. The so-called "many kinds of Yang wood" refers to one of the twelve kinds, or those that are different due to the differences in activities, and does not refer to various kinds, etc. The so-called "placed next to the stove" means placed on the right side of the practitioner. The so-called "seven or eight" indicates the countermeasure for the appearance of small obstacles. The so-called "ten" indicates the countermeasure for medium obstacles. The so-called "twenty" means that if a sign of a great obstacle appears, it is meant to be averted by it. The so-called "spreading Kusa grass or a mat or a grass mat" means that in the secret mandala it is said: For pacification, a lotus seat; for increase, a Kusa grass mat; for fierce activities, no seat. Thus it is said. The so-called "sitting" means that in the Great Tantra of Perfect Accomplishment it is said: The lotus posture is auspicious and good, these are the three postures. Thus it is said, and it corresponds to the three activities. For the fierce, in the secret mandala it is said: As it is said, do it by pressing the foot with the foot. Thus it is said. The so-called "facing east" is related to the time of pleasing the deity, and it should be understood as being said in the category of increasing activities, and do not extend this to all situations, as it is said in the secret mandala: Facing north for pacification, facing east for increase, facing south is fierce, one should begin the fire offering activity. Because it is said so. The so-called "items" refers to what is said in the respective pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and destroying rituals. The so-called "added with ghee and honey milk" refers to the time of pleasing one's own deity, and is a term that approximates the meaning of increase. The so-called "fire will show signs" means that if one is very attached to recitation and familiar with the activity, and then performs a fire offering, the fire will also show signs. Take that as the standard, and in the Great Tantra of the Essence of Bodhicitta it is also said: If a beginner performs a fire offering, it will become food for the demons. The meaning of other words is easy to understand, so I will not explain them. The so-called "after seeing these signs of fire" means that bad signs appear. Perform the ghee fire offering with great power.

The term 'also' refers to leaving the remainder of the previous fire offering. In that hearth, invite the King of Wrathful Deities in the manner of a supreme method, and pouring twenty-one ladles of ghee is to refute that wrong view. Then, starting from the previous remainder, it is the meaning of offering a fire oblation to one's own deity. The phrase 'giving, etc.' refers to what was said above: 'Leaving the topknot, the hair should be shaved.' This exceeds the scope of hair, indicating that plucking these hairs, etc., is prohibited. The example of 'holding a sharp sword' is easy to understand. 'Not reciting well' means disrespect. 'Without fruit' refers to the visible and invisible benefits. 'Destruction' means there is danger of death, etc. The phrase 'even if a person does not possess pure morality,' etc., is from the detailed ritual of the Noble Amoghapasha, which states: 'For example, if someone uses sandalwood, or camphor, or saffron, or musk, and anoints and hollows out the body, applying it to the body, the sandalwood, etc., will not think, 'This person anoints me with fragrance, wanting me to emit a foul odor,' but just as the Dharma only produces a pleasant fragrance. Even if I angrily remember or extract the essence of Amoghapasha, I will guard, protect, and conceal it.' This indicates the removal of doubts that would cause contradiction. The rest is easy to understand. The term 'deities,' etc., indicates the types of spirits. The phrase 'dwelling on the summit of Mount Meru,' etc., indicates their abodes. Thus, merely mentioning the types and abodes is because, in general, the categories of those spirits are uncertain, and it would be impossible to enumerate them one by one. The phrase 'after they have enjoyed,' etc., refers to the meaning of dedicating to those who take the essence. The phrase 'drink and offer food' indicates that one should give to those who eat with their mouths. Thus, after making offerings to the spirits, those skilled in this say, 'It should be done by extending the distance from the side of non-truth.' The phrase 'may these actions have fruit' indicates that one should entrust them with work. The phrase 'then offer to the guardians of the directions' means that after that, starting from the direction of the Lord of Power, one should proceed one by one.

It is the meaning of offering. Why are the spirits offered to first? Because they are fierce and quickly cause harm. 'All the gods, etc.' refers to those who protect the world, including their retinues, as a term of offering. Those retinues not mentioned here should also be stated as described in the 'Supreme Tantra of Wisdom.' Here, I have not elaborated because I fear the text would become too lengthy. 'Thus, whatever,' etc., indicates the benefits of giving the torma. The explanation of the meaning of the eighth chapter is finished. 'Drawing blood from the Tathagata' means that the wicked and violent generate evil thoughts by cutting the limbs of the Tathagata's body. 'Uninterrupted' means that when connecting from this world to the next, no place of birth can interrupt, and it is certain to connect to the uninterrupted hell. 'To this aggregate' refers to the body that is now grasped by taking it closely. 'Stupa' refers to the stupa where Buddha images and relics are enshrined, and the teachings of scripture. 'Destroy' means to make them disappear forever. 'Bodhisattva' refers to one who abides on the great earth. 'Learning' refers to abiding on the ground of faith. 'Uninterrupted and near' means similar to the five uninterrupted sins and unbearable sins, but it is different in that it is possible to reverse them through powerful virtuous actions. 'Loss of discipline' means that the cause of obtaining heaven and liberation is lost. 'Until the end of the kalpa' means for the duration of one great kalpa. 'Will experience the suffering of uninterrupted hell' means that the flames blazing from the six directions are dense, covering the body like clinging to the skin, flesh, tendons, bones, and marrow of beings. Then, apart from the cries of distress, one cannot distinguish these are beings, these are flames, therefore it is a hell where suffering continues uninterrupted, called the uninterrupted hell. 'Abandoning the Dharmakaya' means turning one's back on the Dharma that can be attained. 'Adorned with all the words of learning' means abiding in the discipline encompassed by the Pratimoksha vows. 'Evil mind' means hatred.
