The determination of the three types of focus through recitation is as follows: Here, as the deity itself, the reciter who has practiced yoga must definitely focus on the letters of the secret mantra arranged on the moon residing in the heart of the Tathagata who is present in front. In order to teach the recitation of the secret mantra, one should rely on sound, mind, and base. The secret mantra does not change, it abides in the base. Without diminishing the limbs, recite the secret mantra. When tired, rest with me! Thus it is said. Similarly, like the previous base, the four limbs are arranged, contemplating the mandala of the moon with the letters of the secret mantra residing in the heart of the base of the Tathagata. From the mind, through the yoga of re-absorption, focus on the letters of the secret mantra residing on the moon residing in the heart of one's own deity body, the determination of reciting the mantra: unchanging and possessing letters, from base becoming base, thus, whatever is observed outward from one's own mantra, one should contemplate the purity of the mind. Thus it is said. Similarly, just by arranging the four limbs, focusing on the sound of the secret mantra, and also the ritual of reciting the secret mantra, after binding with re-absorption, binding the life and the diligent mind, combining the mantra with the mantra knowledge, one should begin the recitation of the mind. Thus and so on it is said. This is the meaning of the verses that summarize the individual focus on the four limbs for the time being. The meaning of the limbs is taught, namely sound, mind, and base, and so on. Relying on this, one should recite the secret mantra, which is related to it. Where should one rely? One should rely on sound, mind, and base. Thus it is said. Among them, sound refers to the garland of letters of the secret mantra. Mind refers to the nature of the mind of enlightenment, the image of the moon mandala. Base refers to the base of the Tathagata. Relying refers to the difference of the reciter. Therefore, the reciter relying on sound and so on refers to clinging through the door of uninterrupted focus. This teaches to focus on the image of the moon with the garland of secret mantras residing in the heart of the base of the Tathagata visualized in front, and one should recite the secret mantra, namely sound, mind, and base.

What is said is according to the order of the words. Therefore, even at one time, these three objects should be visualized in this order, that is its definition. (Tibetan) means to abide in the unchanging basis of mantra. Regarding this, because of being extremely focused on it, one will not degenerate or waver from the nature of one's own appearance, therefore it is unchanging. One should take one's own deity, which one has practiced very diligently, as the basis. Unchanging and basis are also the same, therefore it is the unchanging basis. The mantra of the nature of sound and letters, etc., with the unchanging basis, the form body realized by samadhi, is called the unchanging basis of mantra. The meaning of basis is that it is the basis and object of one's own and others' minds and mental events, or it becomes the basis through the gateway of reliance, or it is the basis of appearance that can be known and realized as the form of male and female, etc., therefore it is the basis. Abiding in that unchanging basis of mantra, possessing the pride of one's own deity, that is its definition. (Tibetan) means that mantra should be recited, that is, reciting mantra, indicating that it can be recited mentally or in a low voice. (Tibetan) means that the limbs are not lost, that is, the pride of any recitation's sound and other limbs, and all possible pride, and the three objects are not lost and are completely not abandoned, that is the limbs are not lost, that is, the four limbs of recitation are completely not abandoned, that is its definition. Among them, the letters of the mantra and the mandala of the moon, and the limbs of the characteristics of the body of the Tathagata, these three are not abandoning the object. The fourth is the limb of the basis of one's own deity, that is, not abandoning the pride that should arise, that is its definition. In order to arise from the samadhi of visualizing the three limbs such as the basis of the Tathagata from the four limbs of recitation, therefore it is said, (Tibetan) If tired, may I rest in myself! Here, fatigue refers to restraining breath and effort, and visualizing the three limbs and reciting mantra. If tired, it means resting in my own nature. Here, I am considered to be the body of the nature of ripening. Letting it rest is to avoid distraction, that is, abandoning the thought of visualizing one's own body as the deity's body, and visualizing it as one's own body, and being in accordance with it.
