I, and others, walk on the earth and so on, and those that arise from the preceding conceptualizations are called obstacles arising from conceptualization. This is to say, may those obstacles disappear. Those who lack faith, are lazy, noisy, do not believe in mantras, possess many resources, and so on, this indicates that even if they possess those three vows, they are unwilling to practice, and possess these laziness and so on mentioned by name, are not included among those without obstacles, because unwillingness to practice and laziness and so on are themselves obstacles. One should not drink alcohol or lie in bed, this is to say, one should abstain from all intoxicating drinks, because they are unsuitable. The great Vairocana Buddha attains perfect enlightenment, and from the blessings of various manifestations, elaborates on the gradual practice of the three vows. In the verses such as "How is the Tathagata?", Vajrapani asks the Bhagavan, when the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the past declared secret mantras, saying "This is the mantra of the Tathagatas, this is the mantra of the Bodhisattvas" and so on. Regarding those statements, if one does not understand what the difference is between the names of the Tathagata, Samantabhadra Buddha, and the Bodhisattva, please dispel those doubts. In reality, Vajrapani himself is not ignorant, but it is for the sake of dispelling the doubts of future beings. Regarding these four questions that were asked, they are also explained in other ways with verses such as "Bodhi is the nature of space", that is, "Great name Bodhisattvas, remove doubt and duality, the king of unsurpassed conduct, will practice in the vehicle." This is to say, the great name Bodhisattvas practice the conduct of the Great Vehicle mantras, because they have abandoned doubt and duality, they practice the conduct of the Great Vehicle mantras, therefore please dispel my doubts. "The king of unsurpassed conduct" refers to the conduct of the mantra itself. "Bodhi is the nature of space, abandoning all conceptualizations, what

The one who wishes to realize that meaning is called a Bodhisattva. This is the answer to the question, "What is a Bodhisattva?" Therefore, he said this: The wisdom of suchness that realizes all phenomena as emptiness, abandoning all conceptualizations such as grasping and being grasped, like the sky, without afflictions and obscurations of knowledge, that is Bodhi. The one who wishes to realize such Bodhi is called a Bodhisattva. That also applies to the Bodhisattvas from the first Bhumi onwards, up to the ninth Bhumi. From "Whoever has accomplished the ten Bhumis" to "is called a Buddha," is the answer to the question, "How is one called a Buddha?" The Bodhisattva who has perfected that Bhumi, as it is said, has also become the master of the ten powers, and when in both states of being in Samadhi and arising from it, he also realizes the essence and other phenomena as illusory, and knows the continuum of those who depend, that is, the nature of the imputed and the ultimate truth, emptiness and illusion. That is called knowing the Buddha. Most Bodhisattvas can also realize the emptiness of all phenomena as illusory, and also know the continuum of all the worlds, but because they have not abandoned all opposing factors, therefore the Samadhi of realizing the emptiness of all phenomena and illusion is obscured by the opposing factors of arising from Samadhi. Therefore, it is specifically stated that one becomes a Buddha completely with the ten Bhumis and the ten powers, so being called a Buddha means abandoning the antidotes to wrong paths and so on, and truly understanding them. The nature of Dharma is the nature of space, non-dual and with one nature. Perfect Buddhahood with the ten powers, that is known as perfect Buddhahood. This is the answer to the question, "How does one become the supreme victor?" The Bodhisattvas of the ten Bhumis who are called Buddhas, their realization of emptiness is also a separate realization of nature, and more than that, the separate realization of emptiness, for them, the emptiness of form is the emptiness of feeling, the emptiness of form and the emptiness of feeling are two
