Thus it is said. It is merely a place for establishing names, devoid of agents and the like. For the sky, scholars merely apply names. Even when water dries up, it is merely a name, it does not exist, like the sky. Similarly, the lord of secret mantras also appears merely in name. This means that the inexhaustible adornment spoken by the Tathagata, the nature blessed by letters, is not truly existent in the ultimate sense. Just as the sky is merely established as a name, the sky itself is not of a non-existent nature, nor is it a substance made by others, it is merely called "sky." Apart from the name, there is no object called "sky." Similarly, the essence of the lord of mantras is merely apparent in the conventional truth, but it is not truly existent. It is not fire, water, or wind, etc. This means that the nature of the Tathagata's enlightenment is not the four great elements such as fire and water, nor does it abide in the four great elements such as the sun and moon, nor is it the nature of the names mentioned such as day and night. Therefore, whoever desires to attain the state of omniscience should diligently cultivate the nature of enlightenment that is free from the aforementioned objects. The Great Vairocana Buddha manifested complete enlightenment, and from the blessing of the emanation body, revealed the nature of complete enlightenment, elaborating on it in sequential divisions. Now, the three samayas are explained, and there are two types: the three samayas of the cause and the three samayas of the result. Among them, the three samayas of the cause are the mind of entering and the mind of possessing. The three samayas of the result are the three aspects such as the inexhaustible body of the Bhagavan. Among them, the meaning of the word samaya is "all-pervading," meaning that the mind of entering, abiding, and arising is all-pervading. It can also be said to be all-pervadingly attained or realized, because the inexhaustible vajra adornment of the body and so on are to be attained or realized, so both of these are called samaya. Here, the samaya of the cause is explained, that is: Then again, the Bhagavan.

It is said that the Bhagavan spoke thus to the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani. Among these, the so-called "three distinctions of Dharma" refers to the three distinct states of mind: entering, arising, and abiding. Therefore, they are called the three distinctions of Dharma. From which distinction of Dharma does the unobstructed manifestation occur? It should be connected with "those are the three samayas." It means that by practicing the three states of mind, such as entering, the indestructible body and other vajra ornaments, which are the characteristics of the three samayas, will manifest without obstruction. This is related to what was said earlier, "Listen" and "I have spoken." The question, "What are the distinctions of Dharma?" is asked in order to separately explain the three states of mind, such as entering. Among these, from "the entering mind is the first mind" to "the characteristic of enlightenment," the so-called "nature of differentiated meditation" refers to not understanding the aggregates, elements, and other dharmas with wisdom. It should be read as "unmeditated nature." The so-called "wisdom arising from that" refers to the wisdom that understands the selflessness of dharmas after not meditating. It should also be connected with "therefore, having fully understood as it is, generating the mind," meaning that that wisdom generates the wisdom that truly understands all dharmas. Therefore, it should be connected with "the characteristic of enlightenment that is separated from all nets of conceptualization," because discriminating existence and attachment to the characteristics of aggregates, elements, and other dharmas becomes an obstacle to liberation. Therefore, discrimination itself is called a net. Any mind without a net of discrimination is the mind that realizes emptiness, which is the characteristic of enlightenment. This is related to the previously mentioned "first mind," which is the entering mind. The second is non-discrimination, and the so-called "state of perfect complete enlightenment" refers to the abiding mind, which is the wisdom of the characteristic of enlightenment without any net of discrimination. Having realized that all dharmas are the nature of emptiness, one abides in non-discrimination, and that itself is called the state of perfect Buddhahood. From "seeing as it is" to "that is the samay
