pa'o. Then, the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, again said to the Bhagavan, from "What is the difference?" to "What is the difference?", if this training is also taught to bodhisattvas, shravakas, and all worldly people, then what is the difference? This is what Vajrapani asked. The so-called "worldly heretics" refers to those who enter the gate of this teaching, which teaches things like the objects of training that are not done by ordinary worldly people. The so-called "What is the difference?" is asking about the difference in the nature of that training. The so-called "What is the difference?" is asking about the cause, and it should be understood in conjunction with what is explained below. Lord of Secrets, therefore, listen to me as I explain the method of complete differentiation and the categories of Dharma that are shown in one way. The so-called complete differentiation refers to the way of thinking of worldly people, shravakas, and bodhisattvas, which are differentiated by the methods shown below. The so-called one way is to show that they are the same in the nature of the ten virtues. Lord of Secrets, the training that I have taught to the shravakas is without skillful means and wisdom, they only carry out the Buddha's words, they only know one aspect, they only realize it. Therefore, they are not the same as the ten virtuous paths of action. This means that the noble shravakas only practice according to the Buddha's words as taught by the teacher, and they do not combine the teachings and reasoning with their own wisdom like bodhisattvas, and they do not immediately understand. Because they do not have skillful means and wisdom, and they abide in the wisdom of only realizing the selflessness of the person, they are not the same. The so-called "worldly people are attached to the objects of self and are influenced by the conditions of others" means that worldly people think that everything, such as birth, death, happiness, suffering, and the objects of training, are all done by the object called "I", and that this "I" enters the training under the influence of the conditions of others, because they rely on the object that they think is "I", so they are not the same. Bodhisattvas who go by the Great Vehicle should enter the equality of all dharmas.

The reason for saying "for the sake of..." is that in the ultimate truth, all dharmas enter into the state of equality in the nature of emptiness; in the relative truth, all dharmas enter into the state of equality in the nature of illusion. The so-called "not relying on others" means not being like worldly people who are attached to the self and influenced by other factors. The so-called "completely grasping with skillful means and wisdom" has already been mentioned above. The so-called "entering into doing things that benefit both oneself and others" means that for such teachings that are completely grasped with skillful means and wisdom, one must cultivate oneself, and also use the four ways of gathering to gather others and let them enter into cultivation. Therefore, the teachings of worldly people, Shravakas, and Bodhisattvas will not be the same. Therefore, Secret Lord, Bodhisattva Mahasattva should strive to enter all dharmas with wisdom and skillful means. This is a summary of what has been said before. It is not possible to be like the teachings of worldly people and Shravakas without skillful means and wisdom. One must use all dharmas in a way that has wisdom and skillful means, as mentioned before. Then, the Bhagavan looked at the realms of sentient beings with the eyes of great love and great compassion, and said to Bodhisattva Vajrapani. This was said in order to explain in detail the Bodhisattva teachings that were only mentioned by name before. Loving-kindness is the characteristic of placing all sentient beings in happiness, while compassion is the characteristic of being free from suffering. The eyes of the Bhagavan are loving-kindness and compassion. Loving-kindness is for observing who in the realm of sentient beings is suitable to be placed in happiness, while compassion is for observing who is suitable to be freed from suffering. At other times, it is said to be Secret Lord Vajrapani, but here it is said to be Bodhisattva Vajrapani because these teachings are common to all Bodhisattvas. Therefore, Bodhisattvas should deliberately think and return from killing living beings, that is, from the five situations mentioned in the scriptures including the Vinaya.
