Those who wish to inquire, (are told) to draw all mandalas at all times at night, because the Bodhisattvas also go at that time of night. Therefore, it should be known that this refers to both the Samaya Mandala and the Sadhana Mandala being drawn at night at all times. Regarding the secret tantras, etc., it is said that except for the Sadhana Mandala, all others should be drawn at night, therefore the Sadhana Mandala is said to be drawn during the day. Why is that? Because the Sadhana must be performed continuously from dusk till dawn. Therefore, there is no occasion to draw the Sadhana Mandala at night, but it is said to be drawn during the day. Here it is said that both should be drawn at night, so the Samaya Mandala should be drawn that very night. The Sadhana Mandala, because this tantra says to draw it at night, there is no occasion to draw it during the day as it appears in the secret tantras. There is also no occasion to draw the Sadhana itself at night, because if it is drawn that very night, the time of night will be spent drawing the mandala, and the Sadhana cannot be performed all night. Therefore, it should be known that the mandala is drawn the previous night, and the Sadhana is performed the following night. It should be understood that even large mandalas cannot be completed in one night, and should be understood according to that principle. Now, for the benefit of the mandala maker, the measuring of the thread, etc., will be explained. Drawing the mandala can also be perfected through six aspects. What are the six? They are explaining the Samadhi of measuring the mandala thread, explaining the measuring of the thread, explaining the dimensions of the mandala, distinguishing the layers of cloth, distinguishing the lintels and horse ramps, and explaining the determination of the abodes of the deities. Among these, the master prostrates to all the Buddhas, holds the five-colored thread, blesses himself as the Bhagavan Vairochana, this is explaining the Samadhi of measuring the thread. Prostrating to all the Buddhas refers to the fact that when entering Samadhi, it is reasonable to first remember the Buddhas and prostrate to them. The five-colored thread refers to

Thinking of the nature of the five wisdoms, that is, visualizing oneself as the body of Vairochana Buddha, endowed with those five wisdoms, and blessing them. Blessing oneself as the Bhagavan Vairochana Buddha refers to abiding in the samadhi of the three mandalas, which also have three distinctions. For the mandala of great compassion, the master blesses himself as the body of Vairochana Buddha, and then performs the activities of the mandala such as drawing lines. For the mandala of writing wheel letters, he blesses himself as the Dharmakaya, and then performs the activities of the mandala. For the secret mandala, he blesses himself as the body endowed with the five mandalas such as Mahasvastra, and then performs the activities of the mandala. These are also explained in detail in the "Abridged Meaning", and also in the tantra itself in their respective chapters. Thinking of the five-colored threads as the five wisdoms is combined with thinking of the five-colored powders as the five Buddhas below. Drawing the line to the east is: holding it directly in front of the navel, holding it in the air, then going south, drawing the line to the north. This is saying that first the master is located in the west of the mandala, facing east, standing upright, and visualizing the natural mandala in the sky, visualizing the body of Bhagavan Vairochana Buddha, and the wheel of endless adornments, letting the assistant hold the beginning of the thread and pulling it to the east. Similarly, pulling from south to north, this is visualizing the natural mandala in the sky. After visualizing the natural mandala in the sky with the mind, later on the ground When drawing the mandala, know that it is like an image of the natural mandala. In this way, after visualizing the mandala in the sky with the mind, if the line is entangled or damaged when drawing it, it is to test whether it is a sign of visualizing the natural mandala of the sky. Then it is the second line, taking it yourself, this is because the first line is not the remainder of the previous mandala, so it cannot be used to draw the line, therefore taking another five-colored thread to draw the meaning of the later mandala. Right there, that
