The infusion of purity: Even if the disciples are unaware of having consumed food that contradicts the practice of mantra, they should still be infused with pure scented water. "Purity" means the absence of animal limbs, etc. Even if one is unaware of having consumed food that contradicts mantra, by drinking pure scented water, one generates the thought, "My being has become pure," thereby eliminating doubts about impurity, etc. Therefore, scented water is infused. Then, from Vajrapani's request to the Bhagavan, "Please tell me," to "Always draw at night," the question and explanation concern the timing of inquiring about the mandala. "Time and occasion" refers to the time when one should inquire about the mandala; please explain that. "Omniscient" refers to the Bhagavan, the all-knowing one. "May the supreme speaker grant his word!" refers to the supreme of all speakers, the Buddha Bhagavan. When the mandala's teachers strive to accomplish secret mantras, at what time in the mandala do they bless the great beings? This is asking the mandala's teachers, when inquiring about the samaya mandala and the practice mandala, at what time do the Bodhisattvas descend and bestow their blessings. "Great beings" refers to the Buddha Bhagavan and the Bodhisattvas who engage in practices that transcend what is not to be done. Why? Because the Buddha Bhagavan bestows blessings at all times, so there is no need to ask. However, the Bodhisattvas arise from samadhi and descend after first considering the benefit of all sentient beings; therefore, they do not bestow blessings at all times. Thus, the question is about the time when the Bodhisattvas will descend to inquire about the mandala. Secondly, the Buddha Bhagavan is never referred to as a "great being," while the Bodhisattvas are known as "great beings." Therefore, "great beings" refers to the great Bodhisattvas. Striving for the purpose of the mandala, always draw at night. This refers to the
