For those that appear, one should take the mandala ground, wherein those that appear refer to kings and other people. Those that do not appear refer to worldly gods, yakshas, rakshasas, and so on. If one draws a mandala without requesting the gods and others, the mandala deities, such as the wrathful ones, will harm those worldly gods with their flames. If such harm occurs, those gods will seek opportunities to create obstacles in practice. Secondly, if one draws a mandala while harming them, the practitioner will become without compassion. Therefore, for the sake of their offerings, one should summon the earth deities and others, and request the taking of the ground, so that the gods and others will also be cautious and then leave, without any fault. For kings and other people, if one obtains the land beforehand, there will be no disputes later. After requesting the taking of the ground there, rather than drawing the mandala later, it is better to examine how suitable that land is three days in advance, as mentioned above, and then completely obtain the land according to the following steps. First, make the mandala by mixing cow dung that has not fallen into feces with cow urine. Then protect the land with mantras. Then dispel obstacles in all directions. After that, make square incense mandalas twelve fingers wide. Then, the practitioner stands and contemplates the Buddhas in the sky in the center of the mandala. That is, contemplate the gathering of the self-nature mandalas, binding the samaya mudra. The practitioner stands and contemplates the five Buddhas in the sky, because they are non-abiding teachers. Then, offer incense and flowers and so on there, and with the eyes of the Buddhas, or the noble Achala, or Trailokya-vijaya, whichever mantra, one should completely obtain that land. Therefore, on the night when the Buddhas and their retinue introduce the disciples into the mandala, request them to descend. Then, the practitioner lies down facing west that night, and should have bodhicitta and compassion, and then observe the dreams. One should also understand the three types of superior, intermediate, and inferior. Among them, seeing bodhisattvas is an inferior dream. Seeing Buddhas is an intermediate dream. Seeing Buddhas

If you see those deities being very happy and encouraging the yogi, saying, 'Child, you are great! Quickly draw the mandala!', then you should understand the dream very well. These things are explained in detail in the tantra itself. Because the content of the tantra is upside down and confused, here it is arranged in the order of actual operation. Starting from 'The day after that', up to 'One, two, four or more are also acceptable, and can be accepted without examination'. Until knowing, it is the examination of the disciples. That is, individual characteristics, detailed distinguishing characteristics, and general characteristics. Here, the characteristics mentioned such as 'The disciple is faithful and of noble lineage' are individual characteristics. The detailed distinguishing characteristics will be explained below. The general characteristics are those previously mentioned and other characteristics that have been determined in number. It will be said below, however, the teacher has great compassion and vows to save all beings' realms, and that is all. In order to make it the cause of bodhicitta, limitless beings should be completely accepted. Among these disciples, those who are proficient in tantras and have become accustomed to bodhicitta should be empowered as teachers or practitioners at the very moment they enter the mandala. For those who are proficient in tantras but have not cultivated bodhicitta, they should be made to cultivate bodhicitta and then empowered later. Apart from that, if one does not understand tantras before, nor has cultivated bodhicitta, and will not understand tantras later, nor will cultivate bodhicitta, then that is a common person, and empowerment will not be given at any time. In order to become the seed of bodhicitta, let them enter the mandala. Among them, the characteristics such as 'The disciple is faithful and of noble lineage' have already been mentioned in the place where the characteristics of the disciple are described, so they will not be repeated here. 'Ten or eight or seven or five, one, two, four or more are also acceptable', this is because disciples with the characteristics mentioned above are very rare, so a small number is mentioned. 'More than that is also acceptable' means that there are many or few people with such characteristics, one hundred
