How does one become an example of partiality? In the Indian language, a wing is called "Paksha" (Sanskrit Devanagari: पक्ष, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pakṣa, literal Chinese meaning: wing). A direction is also called "Paksha" (Sanskrit Devanagari: पक्ष, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pakṣa, literal Chinese meaning: direction). Thus, the same word means that the Garuda seizes the Naga in order to possess it, and becoming a direction also corresponds to the meaning of partiality in the sense of an object to be possessed. What is the mind of a mouse? "Because it cuts off all bonds, it thinks" refers to a mind like that of a mouse, which cuts off all bonds and liberates them. Similarly, this mind also practices the Dharma of not untying the bonds of attachment, hatred, and ignorance. What is the mind of a song? "I will attract beings with songs of various melodies" refers to a mind like that of a song. Just as a song makes beings happy and gather, so too does this mind practice the Dharma of thinking, "I will attract beings to whatever place first with many tones of sound that are in accordance with myself." What is the mind of a dance? "I will make others accept correctly through various magical powers" is the mind that thinks this way, referring to the mind of a dance. The word "dance" means the movement of the body, and not only dance itself, but all bodily magical powers such as walking in the sky are also movements of the body. Therefore, through these bodily magical powers, one practices the Dharma of causing beings to engage in various magical powers. What is the mind of cymbals? "I will beat the drum of Dharma" refers to thinking for the sake of cymbals, which is the mind that practices the Dharma of proclaiming and explaining the drum of Dharma. What is the mind of a house? "Practicing by overpowering everything" refers to a mind like that of a lion. A lion overpowers all animals with its skill, and similarly, this mind also practices the Dharma of overpowering others through the aspect of one's own knowledge and fame.
