Doing is the practice of the attached, which is unstated. In this way, with this method, other minds should also be associated with virtue, non-virtue, affliction, and the unstated, according to their respective categories. What is the mind free from attachment? It is said that practicing the Dharma free from attachment means not being attached to or fond of the four types of Dharma mentioned above, but rather acting according to the nature of Dharma, or not being used by others, but doing those things, which is practicing the Dharma free from attachment. What is the mind of hatred? It is said that practicing the Dharma with hatred is the mind with hatred, and one should understand virtue and non-virtue, etc., in the manner described above. What is the mind of loving-kindness? It is said that practicing the Dharma with loving-kindness is the mind with loving-kindness, and virtue and non-virtue, etc., are the same as before. What is the mind of ignorance? It is said that practicing the Dharma without discernment is the mind with ignorance. What is the mind of wisdom? It is said that one should recognize other distinctions from distinctions and practice the Dharma, which is the mind with wisdom. From distinction means from not having attained wisdom to attaining wisdom. Other distinction means from having attained that wisdom to recognizing the supreme wisdom as distinct. What is the determined mind? It is said that it is acting according to the command and the words of the lama, which means that the command of the king, etc., and the instructions of the Khenpo, etc., cannot be violated, and that the Dharma that must be done is that. What is the mind of doubt? It is said that how to fully grasp, with its words, etc., relying on doubt, is the mind with doubt, and that for what was previously grasped without inversion, later one's own doubt arises, causing doubt, which is relying on that Dharma. What is the mind that becomes darkness? It is said that considering what is not doubt as doubt is the mind like darkness, just as in the darkness, although there are vases, etc., they are not clear, so there is doubt whether they exist or not. Similarly, for things that are not inverted, being obscured by the darkness of ignorance, the mind that gives rise to doubt is like darkness. What is the mind that becomes light? So

That which is called "relying without hesitation" refers to the mind that has become the nature of appearance. Just as when the sky appears, material objects appear clearly, so too, the form of the nature of appearance is practiced with objects that are known without doubt, which is relying on the Dharma without hesitation. What is the gathering mind? That which is called "making many into one" refers to the mind of the nature of gathering, which gathers the individual characteristics of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases into one general characteristic such as emptiness and selflessness. What is the fighting mind? That which is called "mutual dispute" refers to the fighting mind, which grasps each of the discordant aspects and relies on each of the disputing Dharmas. What is the object of dispute? That which is called "disputing with oneself and one's own nature" refers to the mind of the nature of dispute, which grasps the mutually inconsistent aspects with others, and instead of disputing, rebukes or examines one's own mind. What is the non-disputing mind? That which is called "regarding as equal with equality" refers to the mind of the nature of non-dispute, which practices equally with agreement with others on any object, thereby relying on the Dharma of non-dispute. What is the mind of a god? That which is called "thinking of oneself as such with the mind" refers to the mind like a god, or thinking for the sake of a god. Thinking like a god is like the gods thinking "I am a god," so too, the mind thinks that it is what it is. Thinking for the sake of a god is thinking "I shall become a god." What is the mind of an asura? That which is called "whatever curses samsara" refers to the mind like an asura. Just as all things such as asuras are cursed, so too, the mind relies on the Dharma of cursing samsara. What is the mind of a naga? That which is called "whatever thinks for the sake of becoming a great enjoyment" refers to the mind like a naga, just as nagas are rich and have many heads, knowing that many heads are a great enjoyment, so too, the mind relies on the Dharma of enjoying great enjoyment. How then do the many heads of a naga become a metaphor for enjoyment?
