"The nature of the lineage of the earth is," which means, please listen to the explanation of the nature of the mind that possesses such qualities and distinctions, and connect it in this way. "The supreme secret of the complete Buddha" refers to such a mind, the nature of complete purity, omniscience, and manifest enlightenment, which is not the realm of practice for most sentient beings, and is called secret because it is not taught to those who are not vessels. "All discriminations cannot know" refers to the mind of the nature of emptiness, which cannot be truly realized through the reasoning of direct perception and inference. "Concentrate your mind and listen attentively" means to listen without distraction. "The mind from one hundred and sixty, after transcending will be born," connect it in this way, after transcending the one hundred and sixty kinds of worldly minds, realizing the selflessness of phenomena, on the ground of practice with faith, contemplate the three minds accordingly, and practice the perfections accordingly, and after doing the four objects of gathering, transcending from the ground of practice with faith, it refers to entering the ground of wisdom of the Joyful Land. It is the answer to the question, "After transcending from how many, will it be born?" "Great merit" refers to being born from the cause of great merit such as the perfections. "Essence is completely non-inverted accomplishment, like the essence of sandalwood and red sandalwood, it refers to the supreme and ultimate. "For the sake of enlightenment, enlightenment arises," connect it in this way, in order to attain unsurpassed enlightenment, from the mind of enlightenment, the mind arises, it refers to this. "Immeasurable like the sky" refers to the qualities of the mind of enlightenment, etc., which are immeasurable and inestimable, or without characteristics, therefore it cannot be measured and said to be only this much, it refers to being like the sky. "Unstained, abiding as it is" refers to such a mind, the nature of the sky, not stained by the sudden habitual tendencies of afflictions. Thus, because it is not controlled by the characteristics of sudden afflictions, it refers to abiding in the nature of extreme purity. "All phenomena cannot be shaken, accomplished by immeasurable wisdom" refers to the mind of enlightenment arising from immeasurable wisdom.

"Buddha Teacher" refers to the merit arising from making offerings to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and practicing the grounds and Paramitas, etc. This is the answer to the question, "What will their conduct become like?" "For Bodhi, the first desire" refers to the Bodhicitta of the first ground. These are explanations of the cause and nature of Bodhicitta. Secret Lord, from beginningless Samsara until "knowing emptiness through destruction," is the explanation of the cause of the Bhagavan Vairochana, and this cause is also of two types. Among them, the 160 worldly minds, etc., are the proximate cause of Vairochana. The other grounds and Paramitas are the co-emergent cause. Therefore, ordinary beings are also of two types: those who understand worldly doctrines and those who do not. Among them, children refer to those who speak badly, act badly, and think badly; they do not understand their own tenets. Different from this are those who understand their own tenets and have attained the noble path; they are tormented by the three sufferings in Samsara, and in order to be liberated from suffering, they rely on attachment to self and what belongs to self, thereby practicing generosity, etc., hoping to attain liberation. Being extremely attached to self and what belongs to self, discriminating countless self-grasps, yet without examining what the nature of self is like, attachment arises; these are the children who do not understand their own tenets. Those who understand their own tenets also rely on the discrimination of their respective selves, that is, from "others are born of time" to "thinking of what is speakable and unspeakable." These are the worldly people's discriminations of their respective selves. As mentioned before, the nature of self and what belongs to self is where we beings are born. They also think that they can destroy themselves. Secret Lord, such differences of self, etc., refer to the things of self mentioned above. Those who desire liberation attain liberation precisely by relying on such self-grasp.
