Then, aren't those dharmas other than mind understood as they truly are? If the mind is completely understood as it truly is, and it is said to be without characteristics, etc., then all dharmas are also without characteristics, like the sky. Or, it is said that all dharmas are without characteristics, and the characteristic of the sky itself is the characteristicless enlightenment. In this case, dharma refers to aggregates and so on, which are other than mind. For example, the characteristic of the sky is because the sky has no characteristic. Then, Vajrapani Bodhisattva said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, from where should all-knowingness be sought? And by what means should one attain complete enlightenment and Buddhahood?" From "Lord of Secrets, this is the gate of purification of the Bodhichitta of the Bodhisattva" to "the gate of the appearance of dharma, the first way of the appearance of dharma," it is about asking for the wisdom of all-knowingness and the means of entering for the sake of attaining complete enlightenment, and teaching the means of seeking these two from one's own mind. Among them, asking from where to seek all-knowingness and by what means to attain complete enlightenment and Buddhahood is asking how to enter into it. Enlightenment and all-knowingness should be sought from one's own mind, meaning that when one's own mind Is purified by abandoning the habitual tendencies of the nature of grasping and clinging, then the self-luminous, self-aware, unwavering wisdom appearance will transform into the nature of enlightenment and all-knowingness. If one examines the mind, how can one understand that meaning? In this regard, there are two types of individuals who examine: Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who possess wisdom that transcends the senses, and various beings with inferior views. Among them, the examination by various beings is that (the mind) is not within, nor without, nor is it visible between the two, meaning that the outside is the object of grasping, the inside is the subject of grasping, and the middle is between the two, and the mind is not visible there either. Those who possess wisdom that transcends the senses also (believe) that the mind has no color or shape.

The realms, the continuities, and the abodes, thus not clinging to the nature of the five kinds of things, therefore, from "not blue" to "not in the body, not abiding in the mind" it is said. "Unseen" refers to the past. "Not clinging" refers to not being seen even in the present. "Will not see" refers to not being seen even in the future. From "not blue" to "not the color of crystal," it refers to the mind not being an object visible in the form of color. From "not short" to "not male, not hermaphrodite," it refers to not being visible in the form of shape. Not the nature of the desire realm, not the nature of the form realm, not the nature of the formless realm, it refers to not being visible in the form of realms. From gods, nagas, yakshas to "also not the nature of the same kind as sentient beings," it refers to the invisibility of the continuity. From "the mind does not abide in the eye" to "not abiding in the mind," it refers to the invisibility of the mind abiding in the six senses. When colors and shapes and so on appear, the mind is not separate from the nature of the grasper and the grasped, therefore it is with defilements. Thus, because it is with defilements, it is not omniscient wisdom. Therefore, the mind that completely purifies all those defilements is omniscient, therefore, why is that? Because the mind is the nature of space, it is said. The nature of space is abandoning conception and various conceptions, because it is the same as the nature of space. Therefore, it is said that all conceptions and various conceptions are abandoned. It means abandoning various conceptions and various observations. Thus, because the mind is the same as the nature of space, enlightenment is also the same. Whatever is the nature of space, that is the nature of mind. Whatever is the nature of mind, that is the nature of enlightenment, it is said. Thus, mind and enlightenment do not have the two natures of grasper and grasped. Secret Lord, thus mind and the realm of space and enlightenment, these are not two.
