Explanation of the mantras that evoke laughter. Then, the Bhagavan blessed the vast Dharmadhatu, which has two aspects: profound and vast. The profound is the nature of the essence of Bodhi. The vast is the inexhaustible Vajra ornament wheel of body and so on, which is the blessing of the inexhaustible wheel of body and so on. At that time, he entered into the Samadhi called the Essence of the Treasury of Dharmadhatu, which is a distinction of that Samadhi. The Treasury of Dharmadhatu refers to the fact that the Samadhi arises from the Samaya mantras and so on. The essence refers to the place of origin, that is, the place where these mantras arise. It is said that the wisdom arising from Samaya was taught. Samaya means all-pervading or containing, that is, the inexhaustible Vajra ornament of body and so on. What contains it is this wisdom, and the way of containing it is to contain it without having obtained it and to contain it after having obtained it and destroyed it. Among them, containing without having obtained it means taking this wisdom for the first time without seeing the Mandala. Bodhisattvas such as Samantabhadra and others will see the Mandala of their own nature simply by reciting this wisdom. Containing after having obtained it and destroyed it means reciting the Samaya mantra after not seeing the Mandala and being interrupted by other things in between. Reciting this mantra is also hearing the qualities of the three wheels of body, speech, and mind of the Tathagata. Then, immediately in all Buddha-fields and Bodhisattva assemblies, the sound of wisdom entering into Samaya arises. All Buddha-fields refer to the ordinary beings who are to be subdued. All Bodhisattva assemblies refer to the retinues of Samantabhadra and others. Whoever hears and does not transgress all Dharmas is a wise person. Samaya is that the wise person, after hearing it, does not transgress the two, the Dharma of scripture and the Dharma of realization. Not transgressing the Dharma of scripture means not abandoning the Samayas such as not abandoning the holy Dharma. Not transgressing the Dharma of realization means the Mandala of one's own nature.

That is, not abandoning the attention. The mantra that arises from the Dharmadhatu is entering, that is, whether it is the disciple or oneself, transforming into emptiness. The mantra that blesses Vajrasattva is abiding, that is, the nature of the five wisdoms, or abiding in the body of Vajrasattva himself. The mantra of the Vajra armor is arising, that is, donning the armor of great compassion that makes all sentient beings have happiness. The Tathagata's eye mantra is the disciple removing the blindfold and letting him look at the mandala. The mantra of incense arises from the merit of the Tathagata's precepts being completely pure. The mantra of flowers arises from the merit of great compassion. The mantra of incense arises from the merit of burning afflictions and so on with the wisdom that is in accordance with the Dharmadhatu. The mantra of the lamp arises from the light of the Tathagata's wisdom shining, appearing as vast as the sky. The mantra of offering water arises from the Dharmadhatu being completely pure, the same as space and unparalleled. The mantra of the crown arises from the Tathagata's crown being invisible, boundless like space. The Tathagata's armor mantra is, arising from the light of wisdom on the path to attaining Tathagata-nature, burning away the obscurations of knowable objects and afflictions. The universally blazing mantra is the mandala of light, that is, the wisdom of the path blazing, burning away the obscurations of knowable objects and afflictions. The mantra of truly dissecting the tongue arises from abiding in the Dharma of true speech, that is, the mantras of the Tathagata's eye and crown, etc., should be combined with the mudras that appear below. If the teacher himself transforms into the body of the Tathagata, he should also transform with these mantras. If transforming from the one syllable essence of emptiness, then these are not needed. When initiating the disciple, also after pouring the vase water for the initiation, combine these mantras with the mudras. As when the mandala of the Bhagavan is drawn, obstacles will be pacified, that is, initially drawing the mandala, during the making and after drawing.
