It is said that a Bodhisattva should restrain himself with the discipline of body, speech, and mind. Why? Because a Bodhisattva does not need to take vows other than abandoning body, speech, and mind. This means that offering one's body to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is equivalent to offering body, speech, and mind. If one does not have control over body, speech, and mind, then one will not commit the ten non-virtuous actions through body, speech, and mind, and that itself is discipline. There is no discipline more excellent than that of body, speech, and mind, that is the meaning. In short, whoever offers his body to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will not commit the ten non-virtuous actions through body, speech, and mind. This shows that all these will become the cause for attaining the unobstructed wisdom that knows everything. Then, from "On the next day, please bless my body as Vajrasattva" to "Please grant pure incense water for the purification of the mind," it explains the tasks that the teacher should perform when drawing the mandala. If one examines the south, north, east, and west directions when the sun reaches its peak at noon, it will clearly appear. Therefore, one should carefully bathe and so on, and then enter the place where the mandala is drawn. One should think of the Bhagavan Vairochana, and when prostrating, bind the mudra with the three samayas, bless oneself as emptiness with the Dharmadhatu mudra, bind the Dharma wheel mudra, and bless as Vajrasattva. Then bind the Vajra armor mudra and put on the armor. This is the blessing as Vajrasattva. The so-called Vajrasattva refers to the mind that is extremely firm, like a diamond. And what is that? It is the non-inverted, perfectly complete Bodhicitta. It is precisely the blessing of this noble Vajrasattva as the body of a Bodhisattva. In this way, after the teacher is blessed as the body of Vajrasattva, the mandala is used to observe and determine the south, north, east, and west directions, and the places where the deities should reside should also be determined with the mind. Again, fill the vase with incense water,

E! Having consecrated it with the mantra that completely conquers the three realms, first place it at the door. May the wise one sprinkle all beings with it! This comes from the scriptures. Fill a vase that has the characteristics mentioned in the scriptures with scented water. Put in jewels, medicine, and the five grains. Place it at the door of the outer enclosure of the mandala. When the disciples come inside, sprinkle it to dispel obstacles. Consecrate that vase with the mantra that completely conquers the three realms. If you consecrate it with the heart mantra, consecrate it one hundred and eight times. If you consecrate it with the root mantra, consecrate it seven or twenty-one times. Then, in order to purify the mind, give pure scented water. This is in order to dispel the conceptualizations of the disciples who have eaten food that is contrary to the practice of mantra. Therefore, pure scented water is poured. Pure means that there are no limbs of sentient beings, etc. Even if the conceptualization of having eaten food that is contrary to mantra does not arise, if pure scented water is not drunk, the thought arises that "my lineage has become inferior." Therefore, scented water is poured in order to eliminate doubts about impurity, etc. Then, the Blessed One, Vajrapani, asked this, from "Write this from night to dawn, and draw the mandala even in the sky" to the end, is asking and explaining the time at which to draw the mandala. All-knowing means the Blessed One who knows everything. Time and measure means the time to draw the mandala, that is, to ask to explain that time. The best of speakers gave the command. The best of all speakers is the Buddha, the Blessed One. When will the great being be blessed? That is, the mandala master, when the mantra is accomplished and diligently entered. This is asking when the bodhisattvas will go when the mandala master draws the samaya mandala and the accomplished mandala. The great being does not refer to the Buddha, the Blessed One, but to the bodhisattvas who practice the perfections. Why? Because the Buddha, the Blessed One, always blesses, so there is no need to ask. The bodhisattvas, after rising from samadhi,
