Those things that cannot be fully understood by hearing from others are not truly comprehended, but refer to what is comprehended by the Bhagavan (Blessed One) himself. Furthermore, the Bhagavan (Blessed One), with the arising of compassion from great compassion, for the sake of perfecting the king of the mandala, for the future, for the benefit, welfare, and happiness of many sentient beings, requested the teaching of the practice of mantra. This refers to if we can understand and utilize the wheel of self-nature mandala, such as the body, then for the benefit of future beings, may we be blessed so that the wheel of the body, etc., through the mantras and mudras of that mandala, becomes the realm of practice for those beings. The arising of great compassion refers to arising from the great mandala. The mandala will be explained in the text below. King refers to all mandalas other than that, such as bodhisattvas, being included within this great mandala, hence it is called king. For the sake of perfection refers to pleasing the deity through the gate of the mandala, with the sixteen kinds of pleasing actions, and pleasing the deity through the gate of practice, with the four branches of learning and completely subduing one's own mind, etc., thereby attaining achievements such as vidyadhara, gradually accomplishing Buddhahood, and manifesting through completely subduing one's own mind, and perfecting the practice of the perfections, etc., thereby attaining omniscient wisdom, this is the mandala, i.e., for the sake of perfection. For the benefit, welfare, and happiness of many sentient beings in the future, please teach the method of applying mantras, this refers to for the sake of those future sentient beings attaining the perfect characteristic of the mandala, i.e., the omniscient wisdom, please teach that mandala. For the sake of benefit refers to for the sake of attaining the benefit of omniscient wisdom. For the sake of welfare refers to for the sake of welfare in the next life. For the sake of happiness refers to for the sake of happiness in this life. Or, for the sake of benefit refers to welfare and happiness.

It is also done for the sake of this meaning. The so-called "method of practicing mantra" means that the practice of mantra is the mandala and the practice, etc., and these themselves are the method. The so-called "method" means going or obtaining when combined with the Indian scriptures. Therefore, please explain the reason for going or obtaining the supreme Buddhahood through the practice of mantra. Then, the Bhagavan Vairochana Buddha looked at all those retinues, which is to observe whether there are distracted ones among the retinue Bodhisattvas, and whether there are listeners who cannot become vessels. If the retinue Bodhisattvas of the Bhagavan Vairochana Buddha are all pure, why are there distractions and those who cannot become vessels? The intention is this: Although the retinue Bodhisattvas of the Bhagavan do not have distractions and cannot become vessels, such things may happen to those who listen to the Dharma in the future, so it is to show the method of observing these situations. Vajrapani, listen to the doctrine of the Dharma that explains the practice of the mandala that will perfect the omniscient wisdom. This refers to the sixteen kinds of behaviors that please the deity through the mandala, and similarly, the four limbs of recitation that please the deity through gradual practice, and the deity is pleased by completely subduing one's own mind, thereby manifesting attainments such as vidyadhara, and gradually perfecting the omniscient wisdom, so it is called the mandala of perfecting the omniscient wisdom. The so-called mandala practice refers to the sixteen kinds of practices such as drawing mandalas. The principle is as mentioned before. The so-called treatise refers to indicating a manifest thing with many words. Here, the attainment of omniscient wisdom can be achieved through paramitas and other methods, and also through the practice of mantra, so it is called the doctrine of the Dharma that explains the principle of the mandala. Then, the Bhagavan Vairochana Buddha vowed to liberate all sentient beings because the meaning of the realm of Dharma was not complete.
