From "requesting" to "the sons are liberated," these are the words of Vajrapani's request. The one spoken by the Protector of Characteristics (mshan nyid mgon pos) is: "Protector of sentient beings, you." This means that the previously mentioned characteristics of sentient beings will be liberated, and various opportunities will mature. The so-called "liberation, various opportunities mature" is like the later "liberation," as it is said in the world, that liberation is from the fear of dangerous roads and the harm of thieves, etc. Similarly, here it also means that sentient beings wandering in the wilderness of samsara are liberated from the fear of harm from the thieves of karma and afflictions, which is called liberation. If one is liberated from that, there is no other place to be liberated. There is only one liberation, so why say so much about "the time for liberation matures"? It is like worldly people being liberated from one fear, and then being completely liberated from that fear, but if they are not liberated from other fears besides that fear, they are not liberated. Similarly, here it also means that one is liberated from virtue and the antidote that does not contradict virtue, and then one is liberated, but if one is not liberated from the obstacles other than that, it is said that one is not liberated from that. Therefore, it is said that "liberation is the seed of various opportunities." "The sons" refers to those born from the supreme, the supreme is the Dharmadhatu Suchness, and those born from that are Bodhisattvas, and they are liberated. The Bhagavan Great Vairocana spoke to Vajrapani, from "The Bhagavan Great Vairocana spoke to Vajrapani" to "Everything is emptiness, without self-nature. When the wisdom of emptiness arises, the nature of all dharmas is equal, and liberation is attained," these are the requests of Vajrapani. The Bhagavan Great Vairocana said that this should be done. Among them, "Gather your mind and listen" refers to the antidote to the four kinds of vessels, which has been said before. Children wandering separately abandon non-virtuous deeds, and when they perform virtuous deeds, they are liberated in virtue. This means that children like livestock are tired of wandering in samsara, and when the thought of merit arises, they will fast and give alms.

Doing good deeds such as giving is called breathing in virtue. If other breaths are also virtuous, why is it only called virtue here? Other breaths are indeed virtuous, but other virtues each have their own names, so this is called virtue. When I truly know reality as it is, I will breathe well in my place. This means that when practicing the eight minds such as giving, encountering virtuous friends, and truly knowing the real things that worldly people are attached to, relying on oneself and becoming accustomed to worldly affairs is called breathing in my place. When I truly know reality as it is, this does not mean knowing emptiness as it is with wisdom, but rather, like worldly books, truly knowing the truth of things that are attached to as self. When I have fully accepted the aggregates and abandoned all places, and I myself observe form, then I will breathe in non-self. This means that if one clings to the aggregates as real, and if they are destroyed like bubbles, the things clung to by the aggregates are not real. It is only knowing the individual nature of all dharmas, which is called breathing in the Dharma. When one abandons all dharmas and abides in the unborn, then one breathes in non-self in the Dharma. This means that if the aggregates and other dharmas are destroyed like illusions and mirages, they are not real. It is only knowing that it is only consciousness, and that consciousness itself cannot find the beginning and end, and has no nature, knowing that it is unborn from the beginning, which is called breathing in non-self in the Dharma. When the aggregates, realms, places, objects, subjects, self, life, etc., and all unborn dharmas, even the nature of emptiness has no essence, and the wisdom of emptiness arises, then one breathes in the equality of the nature of all dharmas. This means knowing that the aggregates and other dharmas are selfless, and are only consciousness, and knowing that consciousness is not from the beginning
